"We had to ask for menus even though other tables had been given them before us,they arrived after we were seated.On asking the waitress she said I thought you had already placed your order.Other tables got their food before us that had ordered after us,it seems there was a lack of communication between staff. No one seemed to be organising the staff we waited an hour for our food to arrive.Some one came to say sorry for the delay there was a problem in the kitchen this was after we had finished our meal she also stated they were busy with a large party in the other room.If they knew they were really busy more staff should of been put on it appeared the party was given most of the attention.We had booked our table 2 weeks previously not just turned up.The food however was quite nice,please sort out your staff so everything runs smoothly."

"Booked for dinner at 1830 on Friday, mid December. Bar was busy restaurant 70% full. Served a menu and drinks promptly. We later found out that Christmas menu was available but wasnt offered to us. The place was warm, with a lit open fire. Christmas decorations were poor. Ordered dishes including Scampy, fish and salads. They arrived promptly and it tasted very nice, but had no tartare sauce nor salad cream (Didnt tell us before we ordered). Plates were cleared afterwards, and with only one other table occupied we were abandoned. I called the waitress after serving the other table and she replied without making any eye contact or intention of coming over. She replied they only had 2 choices of sweet course. she sent someone else who took a fresh drinks order (no decaff tea). I noticed a different choice of sweet course going to the other table to be told those choices were on the Christmas menu and not available to us. We werent offered the christmas menu nor told of the limited pudding offering. At 20.30 the last orders bell sounded. The waitress came over a few minutes later to tell us the pub will be closing in 10 minutes ie at 9pm. Will not be returning."

"This is my 2nd visit to this place inside a year and I was somewhat disappointed with my return compared to the first. we were a party of 14 and it was booked weeks before and on arrival they said they had no booking. Despite still having that call on my phone records it still was not listed. We did mange to get seated after a bit of humming and arhing and was told we will have a wait for food. The food was spot on as normal so no complaints but I was feeling a bit rough overnight with an upset tummy and that can happen when I eat a heavy meal which was fish and chips. A member of my party was very sick indeed and all the next day and he also had fish and chips. It is possible he just a had a bug which was coincidental. I put it down to co-incidence because the food here is very good but the non booking put me off from returning for a third time."

"Just had a meal with my son who is 13 and didn’t realise it was quiz and bingo night on Wednesdays . We sat down just as it was starting and Lexi who serves behind the bar was helpful enough to ask the quiz host to allow us to join and to re read 2 of the numbers as they had just started. My son had a fun evening on too his fave food which is their pizza. Lexi is warm, kind, polite and professional. She is an asset to the team. Thank you Scott too, who is the owner so was pleasant and approachable"

"This restaurant has a vast menu that you might typically find at a British curry house, including a wide range of starters, Tandoori, curries, traditional and a signature collection, sides and a decent Vegetarian selection. The price range here is reasonable and around what you would expect at a similar Indian Restaurant with curries averaging around the £9/10 mark, therefore their Sunday Wednesday offer is definitely value for money. We enjoyed some delicious food including; Onion Bhajis – 3 decent sized Bhajis. Mixed Kebab – all great, the Sheek kebab especially, with a decent hint of spice. Spice Library Special; mouth-watering spicy curry consisting of lamb tikka, tandoori chicken off the bone, chicken tikka and meatballs all cooked to perfection in a spicy sauce. “Medium to Hot” – in Ben’s opinion (someone who does like very spicy food and has a fairly high tolerance) said this wasn’t spicy BUT that it was really tasty and the meat was very tender. The meatballs in particular were really good. Keema India; Mixed keema, chicken tikka and potatoes cooked together with green chillies. Medium – a really yummy curry with big chunks of meat and potato. Very filling. Goa Green Chicken Curry – the greenest curry I’ve ever seen!! But went down really well. Chicken Passanda; Chicken tikka cooked in a sweet creamy dish made with coconut flour, cream, sugar and mango sauce – a mild but flavoursome dish. The Garlic and Peshawari Naan breads were lovely to scoop up the saucy curries. The atmosphere here is decent and the service was also good. We enjoyed our visit as a group of two couples on a Sunday evening, and the place filled up with families, including children, and friends alike which was great to see.
