Playa Cafe-Restaurant

We had a very bad experience in this restaurant. Original, but people who work here are not very nice. waiter had a bad attitude. Don’t go there if you want to have a good time!

Brilliant decor, very unique. Excellent friendly service. Food very nice but some seems a little overpriced. If you don’t like what is on the outside then don’t go in! We loved it!

Beautiful decoration and it is an excellent place to have a cuppa. Cake is delicious and service is fast. The café has many beautiful flowers that surround it, like the food in a beautiful flower garden.

This was very close to our hotel and it is amazing flower display dragged us almost every time we are on the way, as over. The snacks and beer were good and the service was not remarkable, but no problem.

My girlfriend and I stumbled across this restaurant with very eye catching plants, seating etc for a very aesthetic appeal. The food was lovely, I had the pork medallions and my girlfriend had a goats cheese salad. We were both very happy with the food....It is very pricey however as the salad was €18 and soft drinks are quite dear. Four of us had a very pleasant evening at Playa. The food and service were very good. All the outdoor plants improved the aesthetics. I just read all the previous reviews (there weren't that many), and felt like increasing my rating one notch to counteract...a few seemingly biased statements, but I didn't. Some people didn't like all the plants; maybe they don't like people with red hair either. It's just different; that's all; we liked it. Finally, the website listed seems no good. I found a better one, but it appears to be in German only.

I am always willing to give a restaurant another chance. I was recently at Playa with 2 friends that invited me and although the last visit was not exactly a success, I decided to go along. The overwhelming jungle of plants and the tables packed...so close to eachother has not changed and it all felt claustrophobic for me. The food was ok but a little pricey for what it was (I had fish) and my friends had prawns on a skewer and they were also disappointed with the price-quality aspect. That however was not the real problem. The bathroom was dirty and I don't really expect to see mice running around between my feet...which is not surprising considering the jungle of plants etc...no way can th...

The place is tastefully decorated and the tables surrounded by flowers and plants outside make the atmosphere very special. Anyway, the moment you regret the choice! The problem is not the food, which is okay, but the service. I hadn't experienced anything in a while. When I first went, I was alone and asked for a table, it was lunch. The owner was incredibly rude to me and pretended not to speak English. A customer who had eaten had to translate what he wrote to me, yelling! I was tired and hungry. I went a second time with my family hoping to get a better experience and it turns out that the same man can actually speak English!! The service is also very slow, no courtesy and after complain...
