"We stumbled across this cafe when picking up a hire car. At first we were not going to go for breakfast there because they were opening up for food 45 minutes later and we were expecting to leave Munich before then. But after a mix-up with the hire car we ended up back in the Corner Cafe and were greeted by friendly Niklas. We ended up having brunch and were advised by Niklas to go for the arepas. We had chicken and belly pork arepas. My boyfriend went for a sausage and lentil soup. All food is made from scratch and it was very tasty. It was very reasonably priced and the ambience was enjoyable. I would definitely recommend!"

As always, we were not disappointed by our soup! The best in Munich :) Great location too, near to the HBF.

We had the best meal here in Munich - his potatoes came from Bavaria which were beautifully cooked & really delicious; if we had wanted more we could have had it

This funky place is perfect for a lunch break. The owner and his wife are really nice and the food is amazing and cheap. Its a mix of swedish and venezuelan kitchen.

I can see the owner is trying to do 'cheap and cheerful' but it didn't really work for me. If you enjoy eating bland food from paper plates then this might be for you. They clearly use the cheapest ingredients and put little thought into their food. Maybe I am getting old or something but I also totally didn't get the laid back atmosphere others on here are talking about. It's quite a lazy concept with nothing special about it, so I won't be back.

I was stepping in just to grab a coffee to go. However the creative environment made me sitting and looking around. I saw a picture of an Swedish actor on the wall, which I just have seen in "The Seventh Seal". He said its "Max von Sydow" showing how to Skoal with style and grace. And that was the beginning of a long talk about movies, literature and what have you... Why am I telling this? Because it shows, that if you get into this Café expect much more than just a coffee :-)

My wife and I stopped for brunch and had the soup and arepas. The food was delicious and the prices were fair. Nikla and Yulissa were really nice and besides the excellent costumer service provided, they gave us good tips about the different places and things that Munich has to offer. We also learned a bit about FIKA. I think this is a good place to stop for lunch during your work break. We tried going back the next day but they were close at night (we forgot to ask them if they were open for dinner). We will stop by again on our next trip to Munich.

This is a really neat place, not traditional Bavarian but a refreshing break-- although they offer soup with wurst if you must! The small menu is all homemade and includes soups, very interesting Venezuelan sandwiches and daily specials. The sandwiches are made with a delicious corn based bread so are gluten free. We were warmly welcomed by an employee and the owner. The food is great, the vibe is awesome, and the decor is fun. Lots of vinyl records and great music. Go for lunch or an early dinner as I think they are closed by 7:00 pm. I wish this place was in my town. I would be there all the time!
