The food was good, but although the restaurant wasn't very busy it took a lot of time to get out food and the waitress got our order wrong. Although this was quickly fixed.

the personal was amazing, could not do enough, eating was amazing and gave me exactly what I asked, the fishing with the wedges. tastefully beautiful. my partner steak has been perfected

Alka and Angelika and the rest of the team looked after us very well. Nothing was any trouble and they were friendly and attentive. The food was most enjoyable and plentiful and one of our party’s special dietary requirements well catered for. Would recommend Caley’s for a good quality value for money afternoon tea.

Our server, Mrs A. Patel was OUTSTANDING! She is the reason for this review. I think her first name was Alka or Alpa. Her last name was Patel. She was so attentive and thoughtful and really took care of our table of 4. If I come back, it's because of her! Food was good, we had a lovely table and the Jasmine tea is excellent.

We had booked in advance and were lunching with friends over from the US. We were hoping for a meal, but the choice on the menu was sandwiches or Burgers. We opted for sandwiches; waited a long time for the food, when it turned up, the presentation was poor, the bread looked like it was the end of a loaf, tiny bit of salad and crisps. the food was very nice. the service took a little to go, but once it did, I couldn't blame it. it was a terrible scandal that the restaurant was so quiet. I suppose because of covid cancellations because it really bought the atmosphere below. my group was the only group that was there on December 22 at 8 in the evening, and this restaurant does not deserve to find itself in this position. I can imagine if it had been busy with Christmas bookings, the atmosphere would have been incredible.

The waiting staff were very pleasant however there was a new lady (2nd day) and she was very nice however a bit to overboard and we found the service a little over powering. we were the only people in for afternoon tea, it would of been nicer if there would of been more customers in the restaurant, although that is no fault of the hotel. There wasn't any music playing of what we could hear to add to the ambiance. Also for paying £30.00 and having 1 round of sandwiches for two people was a little disappointing along with the bought in cakes (Brakes). I think i was expecting something a little more.

Really disappointing afternoon tea. We were the only people in the vast restaurant. Arriving we were greeted by a lovely waitress who was Unfortunately finishing her shift. Scones were okay six scone yet only two small pots of jam. Sandwiches were okay nothing special. Cakes were basically the same. No pastries, tarts or meringues. All little sponge cakes. At £30 head I would have expected much better quality. Toilets were ghastly. Each cubicle was dirty and looked as though had not been cleaned for a week! It’s supposedly a highly rated hotel again one would have expected the toilets to be monitored… and reiterate we were the only people there! The only member of staff we saw was the one we...
