CapeTown - Menu

I can definitely recommend this restaurant. The food was great! You can taste different dishes from different parts of the world. CapeTown has its own style. It is worth visiting if you are in Düsseldorf.

Good things: live Music, great presentation of dishes, nice staff. Bad: Prices are very high related with the ammount of food provided anyway the taste was delightful, maybe the could improve on the atmosphere but overall i had a good experience here.

We were with a large group and I was there at short notice, but they still managed to conjure me up a delicious veggie alternative to the pre-ordered Main meal (Bobotie). Fast, easy and professional. The food was great, the sweet potato starter was really good and dessert was fab.

While looking for another restarant, I got lost and ended up in this restaurant, since I was already starving. The decoration is awesome and takes you back to Africa. The food is varied, from Mexican, to german and of course south african. I went for the crocodile stew and it was wonderful. Very tasty with a good amount of spieces and herbs.

Very pleasant restaurant. The service was not over-bearing and very efficient. The menu is a little small perhaps, but varied with dishes from different cultures in and out of South Africa. We all very much enjoyed our meals. I found that the prices was far cheaper than most 'German' restaurants and simple coffee shops that we had been to. and the portion sizes were definitely suited to African hospitality - Huge!. We left well fed and watered, down to the last of our biggest appetites.

We went there by chance and had a very nice time. Its quite a big place with wonderful decorations inside. Thursday night is live music night so we were lucky to experience that. The athmosphere was great, people dancing etc. The vegetarian and vegan choices are slim. And the dishes are small. I was still hungry afterwards and thought the prices to be quite high. They have many cocktails also. I would recommend it for a special night out because of the prices but otherwise its definitely worth a visit.

We had dinner here on a weekday and liked it.There is a good choice of African and South-American food and drinks are fairly priced.We chose two different dishes with chicken and beef and it was great. It was something different than in many other restaurants in the city, it was seasoned perfectly and not too spicy, the serving had a good size.We had cocktails with that and also liked them. Within the happy hour they're only 5,90€.The prices for the food are not low but ok in comparison with what you get for it.We will definitely return one day and can recommend this place.

Location is not bad and this place has every chance to be successful - but service is slow even for Germany and food is average. Dishes are very small and despite being a small woman I was no-where near satisfied despite starter and main course. Very overpriced - and when the wines per glass are listed as 0.1 I expect to be asked if I want more, as when the check comes in you pay twice as much as it was on the menu.I have been before but wanted to give the restaurant the benefit of doubt and a second chance. That was a bad idea.The cocktails are tasty though. But the menu should be smaller; better to do a few dishes well than many badly.

Although I find the cocktails unreasonably priced here, but this place is definitely worth trying it for its atmosphere, decor and the amazing food. I did not try the cuban or mexican dishes there yet but the south african cuisine was pretty amazing. My friend and I ordered the cape malay chicken curry and babotee en geel rys. Both were fanstastic. Perfect mix of sweet, salty and medium spiced (because we asked it that way). Portion could be a bit bigger for its price but I will go there again for sure for the food.
