"V O R T R E F F L I C H !! Das Essen ist immer wieder ein Genuss und vor allem die großen Portionen (die man gut auch noch am nächsten Tag verputzen kann) ist einfach Wahnsinn. Die Besitzer sind einfach sehr witzig, freundlich und zuvorkommend! Klar innen ist echt eng und wenig Platz aber sie machen viel draus und so gut es geht. Insgesamt ist es definitiv zu empfehlen! "About 2 months ago, my mom had to move from her home of over 20 years in the Spessart mountains to assisted living in Alzenau. Despite living in California, we have had the opportunity to take her out to lunch and dinner several times. We have now visited La Taverna 3 times and every time I was astounded by the quality of the food, the execution, the plating, and the service by the multicultural service team. The portions are huge and the prices are low especially when compared to US prices. We ordered a soup: beef broth with veggies and beef. We got a huge plate of veggies and beef with broth! If I'd eaten all that, I'd have been full. The service members recognized us and even Remembered which wine we liked. Of note also is that the place is in a huge winter garden with multiple plants. It's like eating in a botanical garden."

"Ich hatte das Vergnügen, im Restaurant der Villa Meßmer zu speisen, und es war ein absolutes Highlight! Die Qualität der Speisen ist außergewöhnlich – alles war frisch und auf höchstem Niveau zubereitet. Das Ambiente ist ebenfalls beeindruckend, stilvoll und mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, was den Besuch zu einem rundum gelungenen Erlebnis macht. Ein perfekter Ort für ein besonderes Dinner. Ich kann die Villa Meßmer nur wärmstens empfehlen und vergebe gerne fünf Sterne!"

"Wir kommen gerne und regelmäßig hierher. Das Ambiente ist wunderschön sowohl innen wie außen. Der Service immer nett und man fühlt sich willkommen geheißen. Das Essen ist jedesmal eine Wucht. Auf den Punkt gegart, hochwertige Lebensmittel und vor allem raffiniert gewürzt. Das beste Restaurant im weiten Umkreis!"

"We went to the buffet on Sundays. The service was very friendly but overwhelmed / underwhelmed throughout. Price/performance from the buffet does not fit. Brötchen were hard and baked, unfortunately not fresh from the baker, which I would expect in this price class. Freshly prepared egg feed lasted over 1 hour. was apparently forgotten. For this, this very tasty salmon had been taken out relatively quickly and not relocated plates and cutlery were often empty at the buffet, to which should be pointed out. All in all, I can unfortunately no longer recommend the place to be disappointed for the second time. Next time we go somewhere else. The biggest plus, was the nice service. She was very friendly despite his stress and gave her best."
