Dining at Chateau du Pray is a special experience. Our lobster main course and all other courses were delicious. The service was precisely orchestrated by a full team of servers.

We had dinner outside on the terrace as it was a sunny evening and the setting was beautiful! The service was very attentive and all the waiters spoke excellent English. The food was delicious with lots of unexpected little courses to compliment our meal.

We wait 20 minutes for attendance, then maitre 'D come give menu , we ask for the wine list give a bar Carta , we wait 10 minutes for change this bar ask for the sommelier , then had wine list we wait another 10 minutes for order the champagne, after service we order tasting menu, come in normal time , the food no our expectations for a one star Michelin, sorry we don 't recommend Visualizza piatti

Sadly it just wasn’t that good. If this wasn’t Michelin starred I would have rated it higher but it is. The food was not up to par and the prices were ridiculous. $16 for a local gin and tonic? Obscene. The staff was great attentive and well trained. The food was ranged from bleh to I can’t eat that, which I didn’t for one of the courses. I expected far more and think far more should have been given. It was not worth the cost or a star. There are far better restaurants in Amboise that are half the expense but with twice the food quality.

We loved our stay at the chateau but were slightly disappointed in the dining experience. The setting was lovely on the beautiful terrace. The food was very thoughtful but not as wonderful as other Michelin Star restaurants we have been to. The service was not up to par for fine dining especially not Michelin star. I had to ask four servers for a refill of water before someone finally brought water. While I know fine dining can be slow to savor the meal, this service was so very uncomfortably slow. Again, the food was delicious just not spectacular and the service is really what took points off this rating

The worst 1 star Michelin restaurant experience that I’ve ever seen! The food is like something you’d try at home and if you’re not an expert, definitely don’t like because of the fact that you’d mixed too many unrelated things. I’ve asked for a vegetarian option and all I’ve got was the exact same menu without meat with the same price! And the service; it took 45 mins every course to come and at the end, there was no water serving at the table at all, no refreshed napkins and even in the bathrooms there was no toilet paper and all. Very unfortunate for an amazing chateau like this and even it made me question the quality reality of the Michelin standards. Visualizza piatti
