Chinatown, Newcastle

Great pub with really helpful staff and excellent food at a reasonable price. Worth a visit!

Decently sized Chinatown. Had a nice meal but didn't really get much else from it. The arch that marks the entrance is a nice youch.

It deserves 5* only for music selection. Great! I have a good cocktail and good nachos. Football fans provided on a game night added local folklore. Definitely a beautiful place Visualizza piatti

When I was missing home made or you can say Chinese food, this location made my search end. Being Vegetarian didn't had much option to try but tried veg chowmein and other day fried rice both very just awesome and upto the mark.

Ordered a chicken fried rice via just eat while on holiday and it was the best chicken fried rice I had in twenty years. Was put in a big tube plenty of rice but not filled to the top. Only reason only giving four stars is because I only ordered one item but it was good.

I love it here. Came on a busy Friday evening and also on a quiet afternoon during the city. The staff is absolutely beautiful and the regulars we met were so nice. Really like it there, great atmosphere when its heaving and great music and even if its rest it is a beautiful place to be. Would recommend a nice drink or a happy night. Visualizza piatti

This is a sad Chinatown. It's literally one street and some of the shops here are even Chinese. Plenty of closed shops here, but there's some decent restaurants here and also a proper Chinese supermarket, which does have an excellent range of Chinese groceries. Fine if you've never seen a Chinatown before, but otherwise don't bother. It is a good place to get Asian food though, if that's what you're after.

Best Chinese restaurant in Newcastle. Very tasty and affordable price. Beef flank rice and mapo tofu rice are spectacular. The guy from this place is very sweet as well. *Update* I feel like the flavor and taste are massively changing every week, and they’re getting worse and worse. It’s such a shame as we really enjoyed the mapo tofu from here when we first tried this place. It’d been amazing for years according to local friends, what happened? T.T

I'm not a local, check my other reviews, and to be honest I've no idea why this place is rated high.....the worst Chinese I've had in the UK fact!! Price....very very expensive... £11.10 for a special curry? that's about £4 over normal price!! Portion size terrible..... Not 1 chip cooked properly, near raw and hard. Curry full of oil as on swimming in oil... Beef...2 skinny pieces Chicken...3 skinny piece's King prawn 3 pieces. NEVER EVER AGAIN WOULD I GO NEAR THIS PLACE! Visualizza piatti
