We visit mostly on Sunday lunchtimes. The menu is really varied. You get huge portions! Just like home cooked food cost is reasonable love it!

Lovely Service, with very good portions, at reasonable prices. There is always something to be said for restaurants that are always busy, and this is one such example. Highly recommended.

I had an excellent experience at this restaurant. The coffee was delicious and the service was outstanding. We were able to find a nice sunny spot outside to safely catch up during the COVID pandemic. I can't wait to return once the restrictions are lifted. Visualizza piatti

One of the best cafes in Croydon. I love the Mediterranean breakfast!!, always helpful, only downside is parking is a pain (it's Croydon, what do you expect). Staff are helpful, service is good, can be slow but only because it gets really busy in this cafe so choose your arrival time carefully, i am a strong believer if locals and builder use a cafe it must be good.

This is a local neighbourhood cafe, whose unassuming outside belies a great modern menu. Went for breakfast and good choice of traditional full English and more modern options ie eggs benny or all manner of avocado. I opted for avocado and poached eggs, lovely presentation on brown bread, and avocado really tasty and ripe. Prices reasonable and service prompt and efficient.

Good cafe which has had a face lift, clean and pleasant. Ordered the avocado with poached eggs with bacon on the side, perfectly cooked runny yoke crispy bacon as asked for, small side salad. Very tasty, 7 of us it total and all the plates were cleared, no just because we were hungry! This cafe is fantastic in every aspect. I visit regularly and have a few criteria that I use to judge cafes: the quality of sausages, the quality of coffee, and whether they can make eggs with runny yolks. The sausages here are of excellent quality for a cafe, the coffee is better than most coffee shops and they offer flavored options for those with a sweet tooth. The yolks are consistently runny when requested. The staff are friendly, and the cafe has a clean and fresh atmosphere. The toilets are also very clean.

I visit regularly,So I thought I'll invite a few a my Taxi driver friends to try this fantastic place out. Wel! they were very impressed with how fresh and tasty the food is, We didn't wait long and there was nothing left on the plates. We ordered breakfasts, burgers and chicken dishes. Unfortunately we was enjoying it so much we forgot to take photos but rest assured Shirley Cafe is worth a visit. My Taxi friends will be make it a goto place for great fresh quality reasonably priced food. As usual the staff are very friendly great hygiene very clean toilets.

I took my adult son for brunch this month in April, as we wanted to see if the restaurant was dog-friendly since he has a new puppy. We also wanted to see if the food was as good as it used to be. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations on both counts. We both ordered a large breakfast, I am a pescatarian so I had a veggie breakfast while my son had a Full English. The mushrooms and tomatoes tasted like they were from cheaper suppliers, which was disappointing. I had visited this cafe about six years ago with my partner and it was amazing back then, easily the best cafe in that area of Wickham Road.
