"Booked a table for 6.45pm for 3 people, arrived at 6.48pm (I know we were 3 mins late). As soon as we walked through the door the waitress said that we would have to order straight away as they had a large table coming in at 7pm. We were shown to our table where the waitress asked for our drinks order which we gave. Over the next 9 minutes the waitress came over 3 times to ask if we were ready to order, we weren’t ready to order by this time obviously as we had only sat down 9 minutes before hand. Then she came over again to tell us if we didn’t order now there would be over an hour wait for food. We asked why they didn’t tell us this when we booked and she said it wasn’t her that took the call. She said that if we weren’t late then it would have been fine, I explained that we were 3 minutes late, if we were really late I would have understood. Even if we would have arrived early, we probably still would have had to order within about 5 minutes of arriving. The whole thing made us feel uneasy and that we weren’t really welcome at the restaurant. We left without having food or drinks. A real disappointment. The ‘big table’ that was coming in still hadn’t arrived by 7.08pm so I’m wondering if they all had to order within the 5 minute time frame too? It’s a shame that this has happened, as we were trying it again, being local, after the last time we came a few years ago and there was a bug in my food that had obviously been cooked in the sauce. We will definitely not ever return here again or recommend"

"that was our first time in the bride. eating was delicious probably one of the best meal we had in a long time. we had a waitress couldn't do more for us, she was so friendly and as asked to go gin to she recommended the cherry bakery. I would highly recommend the steak, it was so soft good portion size and the cheeseboard was the best I had. well done bride, we're coming back!"

"Our first visit to this local Indian Restaurant in Port Talbot impressed us so much, we had to write a review... Nicely decorated, great atmosphere and impeccably clean. When the food arrived it was piping hot, with amazing authentic Indian flavours and colours. It would be hard to find another Indian Restaurant locally with this level of quality, service and ambience. After paying the bill, we were offered a private taxi service for our journey home, which is operated by one of the staff. Not your normal taxi...a brand new immaculate car with leather interior and reasonable rates. We would highly recommend this restaurant, even if you live outside Port Talbot as it is literally just off the M4 Junction 40, if you prefer to drive. Looking forward to our return visit!"

"We visited Franco's on Saturday, 4th November 2023, with a view to having some lunch by the beach as we have done many times before because of the wonderful location and views, great staff, and amazing food. Unfortunately, we didn't get to eat. My dog will be 15 in January and had a seizure whilst we sat at a table reviewing the menu. I would like to thank the staff and other customers on adjacent tables for being so considerate and caring during and after his seizure. Once his seizure had passed and he was back with us, we carried him outside for him to recover totally before taking him home. I would also like to especially thank the very kind chef who brought him out a pot of doggie ice cream and some ice to cool him down, he devoured the ice cream without coming up for air and then wanted to chase the seagulls. I have washed your blanket that we wrapped him in to bring him home. Thank you, and i will return this to you at the earliest opportunity. My little man is doing well, and we have not had any further seizures. We really appreciate your kindness and will be back at some point to have our meal. Francos has always been a welcoming, friendly, wonderful restaurant that goes the extra mile, and I have been coming for the last 6 years. Thank you"

"We went to Remos to enjoy one of their ice cream sundaes, but were extremely disappointed with both the service and the sundae. The staff didn't seem as friendly as usual and rather blunt. Worst of all was the fact that they had no Turkish delight ice cream, no strawberry or toffee sauce, and we had no apology for our disappointment. We had also ordered two glasses of water which never arrived. We always make a point of visiting Remos when we come down for a visit, but this has made us wonder if us pensioners should come to Remos in the future. Sorry to put a review like this but we were both upset, especially paying nearly £15 for the experience."
