"During our holiday in Kühlungsborn we could not only see the sea from our balcony, but also this beautiful and life-size sculpture on the promenade. The next morning I saw her from the neighborhood. “Meeresblick” is her name and shows a fisherman with a little girl at her hand. The fisherman looks at the sea and the girl, with a teddy in the arm, sees the mother asking. I couldn't do anything about this sculpture on www. There's something to suspect. Does she look at the sea because she misses her husband? Maybe she's looking for the boat he went out in the morning and didn't come home in the evening. With the right hand the woman shields the sun and the child holds it firmly on the thumb. The sculpture is very beautiful. The girl with the pots, the simple dress and the beautiful teddy. I think it's great if artists show such sculptures in public space, so they can all see and think about it, just like me. Perhaps the story is also a completely different one, but I felt the sight of these two. The sculpture shows the special relationship between mother and child. This bronze sculpture was designed and created in 2000 by the artist and sculptor Frijo Müller-Belecke and in his studio in Hemmoor. Frijo Müller-Belecke was born on 24.3.1932 in Delitzsch/Sachsen and was until his death on 5. July 2008, as a freelance artist. In many cities, in places and in churches one can look at his works of art."

Great café, great view, great cake The right place to pamper the soul with coffee and cake. Here is the value for money, the staff is attentive and friendly. We also visited the X-ray cafés in Warnemünde and Kühlungsborn Ost, which are also recommended.
