the menu is very exclusive and doesn't include pizza or simple pasta, which normal kids would like. So we ended up with our son ordering nothing at all.

A nicely appointed Italian restaurant all the usual meat, fish, pasta dishes with some specials on the black board brought to your table. As others have pointed out this is an italian restaurant with flair so do note expect the usual run of the mill stuff €€

Great restaurant hidden in a residential area. An excellent Italian menu card mixed with traditional international food, like fried sole and beef tenderloin. A great evening with very focused service from the Sicilian family running this restaurant. Highly recommendable. Visualizza piatti

For sure it's a really nice restaurant, with very nice and pleasant atmosphere. Good wine, well served. If I can add a suggestion, having spaghetti with bottarga, with added cheese like parmesan it's not a good idea in my opinion (never add cheese with fish, it will override every other taste).

Went for a business dinner and was surprised as I wasn't expecting much. We accidentally ordered all the appetizers to split instead of just 4 and everyone was very very good. My main coarse was a filet that was cooked perfect with a nice simple touch of coarse salt and potatoes. Was very happy with everything from the service to the food. Highly recommend!

This was a very long business dinner, but was quite enjoyable. We had a stream of antipasta coming to the table and all were excellent. Also, we each ordered an entree and everyone enjoyed. However, we did not have to order an entree, as we could have extended the antipasta. Coming from the States, I was delighted to find such a nice Italian restaurant with a German theme. My colleague has been to this restaurant several times and enjoyed the food very much each time.We arrived at 7pm, so the restaurant was emptying. The initial service was fine, we didn't have to wait long for beverages, appetizers or mains. The octopus appetiser was not cheap, but very tasty, and the pasta dishes we ordered were also very good.After the main course, we didn't see our waiter for quite some 30 minutes. No problem really as we were discussing business. Likewise, most other patrons there were couples or business people.

A colleague and I were looking for Italian food and our hotel recommended Costa Smeralda. It's a short walk from the city center on a relatively quiet street. The menu was very interesting with a huge variety of offerings. The taste was authentic Italian influenced with a flair of Sardinia. It was hard to believe I was in Mannheim Germany eating this delicious Italian food. Don't be afraid to ask for something not on the chalkboard menu. They are extremely accommodating to your wishes. I highly recommend giving this place a try next time you visit Mannheim.

We've been to this restaurant a few times with friends. The food is really great as is the service. I had a beautiful starter of baby octopus with the most delicious sauce I've ever tasted. Our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and wine. Friends recommended the oysters to us but unfortunately there weren't on the menu on that occasion. However, on our second visit the chef had obtained oysters especially for us (as promised). Really enjoyable evening with great wine and food.
