Dave - Menu

Dave has hosted some famous and interesting guests to his personal presentation of fresh cuisine. Being a not so famous average American family didn't seem to matter to Dave, who treated us as his special guests. Food was worth finding, but we left feeling we made a friend in Dave.

Must Go .... The owner is amazing No Menu card No Wine card , he just come over to your table (if you are lucky to get one) and ask you like everything ?? Just say YES ..... Enjoy the food is not crazy good but Its still a must go place if you are in Paris Ps. For ask for the Its really really good .

Very unfriendly and rude service and food not good , frozen cheap dumplings , everything came cold or definitely not warm enough , and due to very unfriendly staff it was not easy to complain about anything , white plain rice with butter which doesn't sound Vietnamese at all, indeed more French . 3 cheap and poor dishes for 44€ . Not good at all, we'll surly never come back .

Just back from Paris and Dave was a highlight as always. Dave is an experience, a treasure and a joy and either you will seek it out and value and love it and him or you wont. Dave will welcome you himself. He will order for you and start you with his spring roles with fresh mint and lettuce wraps and show you how to put it all together. Ask for his house rose - its summer in a bottle. Ask him to sit and tell you his story and his stories. Dave is a national treasure.

When we looked for Chinese Restaurants near Louvre, in Google, Dave’s name popped. We looked for it and found a very humble and tired looking restaurant, with red curtains covering the windows and entrance. Surprisingly, it’s a legendary restaurant visited by celebrities! The food here were fantastic! Served humbly, but the taste were fantastic! We loved it! The service was friendly and quick. If you are around Louvre area and look for Chinese food, visit Dave! Highly recommended!

This restaurant hides itself from view you need to know you are going to eat here otherwise you simply won't find it! Dave is a fantastic Chinese restaurant, everything we ate was delicious, there is no menu, the owner/host comes to the table with a short hand written menu, which he reads out but we decided to take his recommendations: dumplings, stir fry vegetables, beef in ginger, fried prawns, and rice. A bottle of house wine and dessert, all for about 75E for two. Cant wait to go back!

Faccio davvero fatica a capire la celebrità di questo ristorante.Il menù è inesistente, quindi si riceve l'imposizione del proprietario (un tipo pazzesco, lo ammetto) sia per quanto riguarda il menu che per i prezzi. I piatti tra cui si può scegliere sono o vegetariani, di carne, o pesce (al vapore, saltato), involtini primavera e dim sum, noodles e riso al vapore. Sinceramente ho trovato tutto nella media, senza particolare distinzione. Vino pessimo.Dolci che si sono divisi tra palline di gelato (che sforzo), palline di cocco e banana fritta.Conto sui 60 euro a testa. Mi spiace, ma per quanto mi riguarda non li vale proprio.

I was skeptical going here based on the TripAdvisor rankings, but friends booked it on recommendations. Throwback to another era, owner greets people and they just bring food. Dim sum, noodles (which were great by the way), beef, chicken dishes and more. Service was spotty, but vibe was clubish, studio 54ish and felt really fun. Owner gave us great stories about the celebs on the walls who frequent this place and was charming. I'm not a fan of Chinese food, but this was a fun visit off the French food foodie path we found ourselves on dining through Paris the past week. Place is not luxe, let them bring food and enjoy the ride

L'ambiente è più o meno sempre lo stesso, pareti scure, foto di vip, orchidee ovunque e luci soffuse, forse un po' troppo. I problemi arrivano al momento di ordinare perché non esiste più il menu e il proprietario, dopo aver chiesto se preferisci carne o pesce, ti porta quelli che vuole lui. Ovvero petto di pollo fritto e petti di anatra saltato in padella con riso bianco. STOP. Alla richiesta del menu per i dessert, propone gelato o banana fritto come un un qualsiasi ristorante cinese da asporto. Gli ricordo di aver mangiato anni fa da lui un favoloso bocconcini di pasta di riso e cocco, mi guarda tra lo scocciato e il perplesso e alla fine ce lo porta. Risultato 77 euro di conto in due con...
