"I had an awful experience at this restaurant. As a food allergy sufferer it is important to be taken seriously and it is a risk to go out for dinner. We were staying at the hotel and because this is a 'fancy ' restaurant I felt...they would be very accommodating with my allergies. I always give a list of my allergies so that the waitstaff do not need to write them down and the chef has them directly from me. It started with the waitress making a horrible joke saying she hopes that they can make it work. I was giving a plain salad as an appetizer, just lettuce. They never asked me anything about my main course, whether I would like something else because what I received was appalling. I got a piece of plain meat and some steamed vegetables one of which I am allergic to and was on my list. Which goes to show they did not look at it very clearly. You would think a piece of meat cannot go wrong, well it can. I am severely allergic to sesame and poppy seeds and I found both on the piece of meat. It was very disappointing because we had heard great things about this restaurant and the service was very bad. I will give them credit for not charging my meal, but this could have been avoided if they had a more open dialogue with us."

"This is a very nice restaurant that is located on the market square in the old city of Iphofen. It is a very small restaurant owned by a husband and wife...she cooks and he works the front of the house. Even though they have outdoor seating, they didn't use it to double their seating so reservations are recommended. We had a delicious meal here at a very reasonable price. We were a party of four and we all started with salads. I had the caprese salad with tomatoes, basil and mozzarella. It was very fresh and the mozzarella tasted as if it had just been made. Our main dishes were the lamb and the fish and both dishes were delicious. The price for our 4 salads, 4 main dishes, a bottle of wine, and 2 bottles of water was 102 EUR."

"gé lommerse has been leading the restaurant golden star, at the Dutchman for many years. with success and much love to his work. the card is clear, for this the dishes are very fresh and can be prepared with much. who wants to eat here should usually preorder a table, because the places are quickly forgiven. here the chef is still cooking himself. a locality to feel comfortable, very nice atmosphere. the wet is a unikat that always brings his guests laughing with a whistle word. in the summer you can sit outside. who is close to or in the iphofen should come in here and have an evening pampered with good kitchen! we were there two times last year (mai oktober) and enjoyed the visits very much."
