"We called in yesterday but too long a wait for a table so booked for tonight. So glad we did. Food was fantastic. I had lamb shank which just fell off the bone, perfectly cooked. It came with properly cooked vegetables too. My husband had the seafood basket and wasn't disappointed either. Good selection of seafood and lovely chips homecooked style. Pudding were also amazing. I had raspberry and white chocolate roulade and my husband had salted caramel cheesecake. Both homemade qnd delicious! Thank you for an excellent meal a great end to our day."

"I often find eating out a disappointment. Have been to The Warren several times. Lovely ambiance. Simple decor and a good ecological ethic. It is always well subscribed with a nice mix of clientele. Meals always freshly and carefully prepared, with tasty ingredients, and well-presented. The only reason I didn 't give five stars is that it is not exclusively vegetarian (which I would prefer) but it offers a good choice for vegetarians and vegans. So often, the vegan/vegetarian options, in so-called 'mainstream ' hostelries, are boring, rather grudging and smack of tokenism. Even in a restaurant that boasts 'home-cooking ', I often get the feeling that this refers to the meat/fish-based core of the menu and the veggie meals look like they 're bought in. Never get that impression in The Warren."

"Our go-to Indian in Carmarthen. Seats about 60. Been there for years. VERY (honestly sometimes a bit TOO quick service. Free popadoms arrive before you have even sat at your table normally! Food is good, tasty and not over heavy/thick with the sauce and the portions are of a decent size. Prices are around the general norm these days. So overall a very decent restaurant, with the only downsides in my option the sometimes over-fast food delivery and the sometimes clouds of smoke that can pervade the restaurant (like a light fog! from the hot skillet dishes, however don’t let those two points stop you from eating at this decent restaurant. Recommend."

"So it would be unfair to say this was average but we would not rate as very good for a couple of reasons. Firstly there was just one waitress who did her absolute best to try and look after a very full restaurant but struggled and we felt sorry for her. My wife had a special of fishcakes which she said were excellent and a good portion. I had the scampi, which was ok but maybe a little greasy but that was maybe because it had not had time to rest as they were trying to get food out. Also the chips were very undercooked. My wife enjoyed her Pinot Grigio and we were going to have coffee and cake but waited 20 minutes and could not get the attention of the poor waitress so we decided to pay and go. I think we just picked a bad day so would go back as some of the other food coming out looked great."

"I have uploaded more photos as I have visited again and my original review is still high, amazing service. original review absolutely brilliant, eating was amazing, free parking on the back and the dame that served us was brilliant, very polite and welcoming, I was super shocked that my meal with drinks and whisper for 2 was less than £40. the black ox is very cozy and very comfortable as they can see from photos. such a fabulous time I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for high quality food with a large service. 10 from 10 to the chef and personal. thank you."

"I went to this restaurant with a friend and had a fantastic meal. Kathy was very attentive and helped me navigate the menu, which is crucial for me as I have Coeliac disease. The food was delicious and there were plenty of options for me to choose from. I also appreciated that they had all dietary information readily available, giving me peace of mind when dining out. The service was excellent, and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was top-notch. I would highly recommend this place for lunch, as the price per person ranges from £20-30.Overall, I give it top ratings for food, service, and atmosphere."

"This place royally takes the biscuit. £20 for three slices of cheese cake, all of which were in a box on their lonesome, no ice cream, cream or anything with them and each slice being literally the length and width of my thumb! Almost £7 each for these mind .... I don't know if I should be annoyed or if its the most hilarious thing I have ever encountered. Pizza Express please sort this out and stop ripping people off. Kind regards everyone who has had one of these."

"We recently visited Tafarn Tanerdy for drinks while staying in Carmarthen with a friend. The pub is quite large and has an old-fashioned decor inside, as well as a lovely beer garden with views of the hills, making it an ideal sun trap. The service was excellent, from the moment we arrived until we left. The staff were polite, knowledgeable, and friendly. Although we had only planned on having drinks, we ended up staying for lunch after seeing how delicious the food looked on a nearby table. I had the Lamb Koftas and my friend had the Chicken Sandwich with chips. The food was fresh, tasty, and good value. I would definitely recommend Tafarn Tanerdy and will visit again when in Carmarthen."

"Right from the Get Go me and my 3 Girls were met with a warm and friendly welcome. We were then directed to our table we booked, luckily we did book, not surprising they were busy. My Girls were given some activity sheets and color pencils to play with whilst I could study the menu and discuss what meals we fancied. After a short while the waitress returned and asked whether we were ready to order meals and or drinks. Which thankfully we were, aided I'd say by the fact the menu was well laid out helping us to easily decide. In spite of how busy they were we didn't have a timely wait for our food and was always greeted with a smile and light conversation. After we had recieved all of our food and demolished the Deserts. Which might I add all food we had was Very Very Nice indeed, I was asked whether I would like to do a in-house review on a little device they had. I gladly accepted due to the fact of how lovely everything was. My only gripe was that the review only asked about the food we had and not to review of our overall experience Inc service, hence why I feel compelled to write this review. All staff we engaged with gave great service, which they really did but I must particularly give a mention to a lady named Katie who went the extra mile for us, always ensuring our satisfaction with everything, providing friendly conversation with Me and My Girls, Topping up the Deserts after offering to replace one that my eldest managed to tip it on herself and engaging with a warm, respectful attitude. We will definitely definitely return. Thank you so much"

"We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and our waitress provided excellent service (though we didn't catch her name since no one wears name tags, she had her hair in two braids). The only downside was that three staff members (one with dark curly hair in a bun, and another who appeared to be a manager as he was not in uniform) and a chef were on their phones while we dined. While this was slightly distracting and unprofessional, it did not detract too much from our overall enjoyment. Despite this, I would still highly recommend this restaurant due to the good service we received from one staff member and the delicious food that made the experience worthwhile."

"I was very pleasantly surprised! We only called because the subway was closed. I read the reviews after we had eaten, and I'm so glad we did. The place was clean, the staff was friendly, and the service was quick. The meals were fantastic—one blue steak and one very well-done steak—both were cooked perfectly and arrived hot at the same time. The desserts were equally impressive. "Morgan's is a popular fish and chip restaurant that can be found all over the place, and we are fortunate to have one in Carmarthen! They offer excellent fish and chips, as well as traditional breakfast dishes at a great price all day long. Their homemade mushy peas are fantastic, and the table service is friendly and fast. "I've really missed eating out in a relaxed and old fashioned Restaurant ! Lol This town pub has got things just right ! I believe one of the hardest jobs, out there,now, is the Publican's ! Apart from The Security Guard's Role ! The majority...of customers who drink do not eat ! So its important to keep the two sections apart ! In my personal opi0nion !Maybe we could drink in one bar and the drinkers drink in another ? Lol Then we can both let our hair down! Lol. Amber and Joanne, the two ladies that served us, were so professional, and Friendly ,to me and my disabled friend, from Burry Port ! It was a very rainy day so we got our orders in quic ? Lol. "I recently discovered Cinnamon, and I must say it's the best Indian restaurant I've been to so far out of many. The value for money is excellent, and everything is always fresh—unlike some places in the area that use Pataks pastes. I've always had superb takeaway experiences, and the food is consistently fresh and incredibly delicious. It's definitely a 5-star experience for me. While I don't personally seek out vegetarian options, the menu has something for everyone. The dining service is also commendable."

"Just had an awesome family meal out at the Farmers Arms Llanybri. The ambience of the place has changed hugely for the better under recent change of ownership. Comfortable, well lit and decorated we were served the most delicious food you could wish for. The sea bass was beautifully cooked and tasty, the farmhouse beef on a mash bed with peas and red wine gravy was to die for. The beef just fell apart perfectly. Other family members had fish and chips (equally tasty) , a burger, and the hunters chicken all really cooked well with beautiful presentation. A child’s meal of Mac and Cheese was also a winner. We were served very attentively by a very pleasant young man who went out of his way to ensure we had everything we needed including a pudding menu to which we couldn’t say no… see pictures of the Sundaes … On top of it all, prices are reasonable for everything too. Can’t go wrong. Definitely be taking friends and family there again. Well done Farmers Arms"
