"Popped in with family, and there’s a decent selection of food. We ordered the littlun a dish from the kids menu, which was described at fish slices, but it was the cheapest floor scrapings in a bread crumb. They were kind enough not to charge us, and she opted for the fillet steak instead. It came rare as requested, and was a decent cut. The wife had mushroom sauce with her steak, which tasted of raw flour. Basic mistake. I had a mix grill: more like mixed jerk. As everything was overdone. The mother-in-law had the chilli. That was really good. Smokey, perfect heat, and a decent portion. So I’m left confused on how certain things were nailed to a decent standard, and others not. Some quality control at the pass wouldn’t go amiss. However, our biggest gripe was a couple of the waitresses. Plonking the food on the table without asking who ordered what: not even stopping their stride. Not great practices for pursuing a tip or two. The manger was great though. In a nutshell, there’s a string of restaurants up down the front. I wouldn’t urge that this is tried first."
