"My partner and I visited Ellory for lunch and were disappointed to find that there was no distinction between the lunch and dinner menus which made it a rather expensive affair. We were even more disappointed to find that we were the only diners! Overall the venue was entirely lacking in atmosphere and while the food was creative and interesting it wasn’t quite suited to lunchtime and it unfortunately couldn’t make up for the rather cold and empty venue. It may be an entirely different scenario in the evenings but I would not recommend Ellory for lunch."

Heard good things about this place from others and was not disappointed. The food was excellent and the attention of service pitched at just the right leveL. It has a Michelin star but is a more informal dining experience that you might expect. The restaurant is less fancy than say some of the corporate card restaurants but food is on a level if not better.

This restaurant is absolutely amazing. The food was incredible, I couldn't find any faults with it. We almost decided not to go because of the snow, but I'm so glad we did. It's a shame to hear that it's closing due to the high rent increases that businesses in Hackney are dealing with. It's a true hidden gem, so we will definitely be booking a table when Ellory reopens as Leroy in Shoreditch. It's a loss for Hackney, though.
