"Took my nephew for a pre theatre meal. Lovely food and red wine, great service. Easy to get to from London Bridge station. My nephew was really pleased with my choice of restaurant as he has spent the summer in Portugal with his girlfriends family and speaks flaunt Portuguese already. Said he will return with his girlfriend as her parents always take them to other Portuguese restaurants in and around London."

Great traditional Portuguese food. Very reasonably priced. Lovely wine selection and good Portuguese beer. Restaurant was livelier as time went on into prime evening but not overly loud; families enjoying a meal together. Bar is seperate which helps! Will definitely be back

We really enjoyed our visit to Estrela Bar. It was quiet on our arrival (Sunday lunchtime) but it soon filled up and is clearly a popular local destination. The restaurant is very pleasant, the service was very good. We enjoyed the food- I had great sardines! The helpings were very generous and the bill was most reasonable. We hope to return.
