"A very simple no-nonsense place. There was no English menu, but just needed to go to the counter and order. So many kinds of fishes but I was not sure how they'd be cooked, definitely described in menu but no one speaks english to explain....Finally ordered a fish soup of the day, they called it bouillabaisse but it has nothing to do with the dish in Marseille, France. This is more like a mix of different kind of fishes and some shrimps in clear broth....but it tasted really good! It's a good value for money too."

I was there with adults and two years old. I got fish soup which was tasty. We all were happy witb our food, However we found the portions too small. We were tired and forgot to take the photos of the food

This is an unpretentious cafe type eating house cooking fresh fish to order and doing it rather well We had the sole which was simply cooked on the flat grill and was delicious ; other dishes especially the soup looked equally good.

almost a secret tip if not almost all places were occupied. so others have already spread their good experiences in the world.Good home cooking, freshly prepared. friendly service. only the bierzelt sets are not suitable for a longer stay. at each hamburg visit.

Fisch So is an unpretentious little fish shack in Hamburg’s fish market area. It’s not fine dining, but the fish is good, fresh and affordable. Try the fish cakes (Fischfrikadellen) with potato salad and wash them down with an icecold Becks beer. The fish...cakes are excellent, the potato salad is best forgotten, the beer makes you forget the rest.
