we drove to the fish market after a large hamburg tour and after a tip of a local one we ate a small fish bread. it was the best I've ever eaten.

Nice fresh fish. I only tried the salmon burguer but it was delicious. Next time I would like to try the octopus burguer. It looked very tasty! I found this place very authentic, it wasnt at all a touristic bar.

We wanted more authentic Hamburgian fish options and sought out this place down by the Altona cruise terminal. Excellent food, friendly helpful service and super cheap! Worth the stroll along the waterfront to find it.

Take time out to visit one of the fish restaurants west of the fish market. This is one of them. No frills a narrow shop with few indoor tables. We sat outside on benches. The fish is very fresh and very tasty! You can have it with potato salad or roasted potatoes. Simple pleasures!
