"We’ve just had a really nice evening at Flam. Food is rooted in Sicilian tradition, but strives to push it beyond what most restaurants in Palermo’s center serve to locals. We had octopus on citrus-flavored purée and bruschetta with clams as appetizers, followed by an Aeolian fish soup (decent serving of fish and a bit of seafood in a light tomato broth with olives and capers) and a grilled squid on chickpea-cauliflower purée with a grilled pumpkin. For dessert a cassata-inspired semifreddo. Together with 2 glasses of Sicilian white, one glass of dessert wine and a bottle of water the bill came up to 75 Euros. Not cheap for Palermo, but it was a pleasure to dine in a place where you see they really care. Also, probably the best service during our week’s worth of traveling Sicily."

Nulla di esaltante, piatti interessanti sulla carta ma meno nella realtà, decisamente poco saporiti. Servizio gentile e disponibile, buona la carta dei vini.

A due passi dallo Spasimo c'è Flam, una piccola osteria in cui si mangia davvero bene! Il locale dispone di due sale interne e qualche tavolino all'aperto; è molto curato nei dettagli ma senza pretese! Il personale è cordiale ma non invadente, sempre pronto a qualche consiglio. Due antipasti, due primi, un secondo, un bicchiere di vino, uno zibibbo ed un caffè sono costati 60 euro, un prezzo onesto, tenendo conto della qualità delle pietanze. Il locale soffre un po' la zona poco centrale, ma una passeggiata fino a qui, vale la pena!

We had a perfect night at Flam! Literally everything was perfect. Super friendly service, amazing food (even the bread included with the coperto was amazing , great wine recommendation, cozy atmosphere. Most dishes were modern interpretations of classics (as indicated by the name of the place . After doing lots of research online and after reading about lots of tourist traps in the area I must say that Flam was the perfect choice for us. If you want fine cuisine which is affordable, then that's the place to go. It's not cheap, but totally worth the money (see pictures for prices, the bottles of wine were 25-26€ .
