"I had high expectations for this restaurant based on the positive reviews I had heard, but I don't think I will be returning unless there are major changes in the service. The first waiter seemed in a rush, trying to take our food order before even asking about drinks. It was a bit strange considering the restaurant was not busy. When the starters arrived, there was confusion among the staff about which table they were for. The main courses were brought out while we were still eating our starters, and the server didn't even know what dish he was holding. The lack of attention to detail and communication was disappointing. The food was good, but the service really let it down. Staff were not very attentive or polite, as we were not even acknowledged when we left."

"Incredible value for money and the food was very tasty too. Not the most appealing to look at from the outside but the inside is very cosy and nicely decorated. Polite waiting staff and very prompt service. Visit their website for special offers we were torn between 3 course lunch for £9.95 and a special Groupon offer available at the time, but either way you won't be disappointed. Was very quiet during the day and the lunch menu time, could have done with a bit of atmosphere but made for very comfortable dining. Will definitely return when in Greenock again!"

"Went for lunch recently. It's a nice place, great views from window tables. However first there were not many vegetarian options the soup was chicken. I dont understand why, if there's only one soup on offer, they can't make it without meat which would suit everyone. Secondly, the service was very poor. I had to ask twice to place my order and the waitresses were less than helpful, almost grudgingly serving us. It's a shame as would be so much better."

"Fantastic meal last night. We'd booked a table and thank goodness as it was packed. We had Nepalese chilli king prawns and chicken momos for starters. Then I had chicken kolhapuri which was phenomenal. Everything was delicious and so fresh. Service was fantastic too. "I booked a birthday treat for my daughter and grandson at the Albany because of the great reviews for the Afternoon Tea and the promise of a Vegan- Friendly menu. Two were to have Afternoon Tea and I the would choose from the lunch menu....We started with teas and coffee but were told that there were no alternative milks available. These are on every supermarket shelf! There was I single vegan option on the lunch menu, a peppers and coleslaw wrap with salad. I was informed that there was no vegan coleslaw available so I went ahead with a pepper wrap with salad. It was no more than adequate. minutes after I was served with my lunch my daughter had to ask where the Afternoon Teas were. They had been forgotten. When they arrived, with apologies, they were unremarkable. I have had Afternoon Teas in several restaurants and this was easily the poorest. The staff were lovely but no discount was offered. A most disappointing experience all round. We will not return."
