Gail's Bakery - Menu

We made a poor decision when ordering breakfast items at this restaurant. The baked egg bowl with sourdough bread was barely edible and was served with a cold espresso.

Breakfast/Lunch becomes an important part of the day when you are intermittent fasting and I really loved this dish. Was so hungry I forgot to take a photo when it arrived

Called in for breakfast, it was so difficult to decide what to have such a variety of scrummy looking things to choose from. See photos for our food choices, needless to say they were all delish. Fab place.

I was surprised to read negative reviews. The bread and cakes are delicious, and both the meat roll and spinach/feta roll are fantastic. Everything is of first-class quality, and I highly recommend dining in or getting takeout. This is by far the best bakery around.

One member of staff was extremely rude to us and our tiny well behaved dog we had checked beforehand and the website said dogs were allowed if their owners were getting a takeaway instead of eating in. However this man aggressively told us to...leave and although we agreed, he refused to let us finish paying or take our food and proceeded to tell us off for not reading the faded 5cm small sign on the door, saying no dogs allowed. We will not visit again.

The staff at this restaurant is usually friendly, but yesterday we encountered a bald man who was not wearing a mask, which negatively impacted our experience. While he may have had a valid medical reason for not wearing it (although we highly doubt it), it is important for everyone to prioritize their health. Despite this issue, it seemed like he prioritized the next customer over us, making us feel unimportant. Perhaps we did not meet his standards of a preferred customer. We enjoy dining at this restaurant, but dealing with such employees is not ideal.

I recently stopped at the Temple Fortune store to purchase a quick snack to eat in my car. I chose a sausage roll. I was asked if I would like it heated. I didn’t mind one way or the other but agreed with the server’s...suggestion that it would be better hot. I got back into my car and drove off, intending to eat the sausage roll as I drove. It was warm on the outside, tepid after the first bite and cold with the second. It was not a pleasant eating experience and, I fear, probably not a particularly healthy one either. Came across the very lovely Gails Bakery whilst making a pit stop and needing a convenient place to rest. In the meantime we ordered Coffee and a cup of Lemon and Ginger Tea. Upon entering my eyes were immediately drawn to the counter style table...top lovingly adorned with the most delicious looking cakes, pastries, glossy buns, coffee machines and everything a modern day bakery should be. Looking around at the space it is a very gentle welcoming with soothing colour tones rustic touches and finishes set in a galley style space with small round tables set inside opposite the counter of the good bakers cakes and many more delicious scrumptious delights.
