Ein Inder, den man sich trauen muss. Wird aber mit herzlich authentischem Essen belohnt. Es sind deutlich mehr Inder im Restaurant als Westler. Und das merkt man auch bei der Küche. Die ist definitiv nicht eingedeutscht. Selbst das schäbiges Interieur passt einfach zu dem Laden. Ich komme sehr gern wieder. Achtung: nur abends a la Carte, soweit ich weiß. Nach drei Versuchen, endlich die berühmten Idli und Dosai im Bahnhofsviertel zu probieren (geschlossen/Urlaub/Betriebsferien) nun also das böse Erwachen: Das Ganesha Restaurant scheint für immer seine Türen geschlossen zu haben (abmontiertes Türschild, fehlende Inneneinrichtung). Da es keine Website gibt/gab, blieb uns nichts anderes übrig, als mehrfach persönlich dort vorbeizuschauen. Schade, schade.... Die Trauer war groß, bis wir im Saravanaa Bhavan in der Kaiserstraße einen absolut würdigen Ersatz fanden, das ebenfalls südindische Küche, aber leider kein Buffet anbietet. Das wiederum gibt es im Anjapar Chettinad ein paar Häuser weiter.

Super leckeres Essen und so authentisch wie wir es aus Sri Lanka kennen. Wir haben Kothu Rotti mit Lamm, Iddiyappam mit Lamm (scharf bestellt war auch sehr scharf! , Butter Dosai (lecker knusprig und Idli (6 Stück! mit Hähnchen. Das Essen war sehr lecker und original. Fleisch konnnte mal ein wenig nachsalzen, aber das ist Geschmackssache das haben nicht alle am Tisch gemacht. Sehr freundlicher Service der älteren Dame. Das Restaurant hat eine Atmosphäre wie im Imbiss, aber das Essen macht alles wett! Wir kommen sicherlich wieder. Der beste Sri Lanker weit und breit! Sie sprechen tamilisch!
