When we set ourselves and the service came, we were told that we could only order special things as a menu, but we did not want to eat big and ask for coffee, there was no card at all, and we ordered something about what the service proposed and something about dessert from the map. There he said he would not know if we could get this and he asks for (pie and cheese plate). He came back and didn't say that. So the two also took apple strudel. He was very tasty, but with nuts on request he said he doesn't know what nuts are in and he asks again. It was clear he was upset by us. Since I am allergic to walnuts, we ask for the cheese plate again. After a brief discussion we got them with bread, in which they were again nuts, the service was simply not interested. The cheese plate was delicious but small, for which it was the largest plate. Service simply catastrophic, cold, unfriendly and not informed and committed at all. In the restaurant it was quite cool and much colder on the toilets in the cellar. The toilets were clean. The service was reluctant to pay as we wanted to pay by credit card. The Hotel Restaurant is centrally located in St. Peter and is very modern. We wouldn't be here again. The waiter ensured, despite the good dessert and cheese. The other food is probably also equivalent, but still never after the service. Walkability: The hotel is very centrally located in St. Peter, all well on foot reach food drinks: apple strudel and cheese were very tasty"

"Big praise to this great team!!! We called from my rehabilitation clinic to reserve 2 places at short notice. It worked perfectly. We were warmly welcomed. We enjoyed delicious coffee and cake. We wanted to get some fresh air and were able to reserve two more places for dinner and we were even more happy about it Excellent sausage salad and blackcurrant spritzer. Beforehand there was a delicious greeting from the kitchen. Very nice and not intrusive staff. The staff also had very nice interactions with each other, which I would also like to praise very much. Big plus! We would be happy to come back to you from the Kinzigtal"

"had a late lunch and dinner after the hike one of the hiking trails from st. margen to st. peter. bertolds brunnen is located on the square next to the hotel hirschen, where we were. the restaurant has a large menu with many classic Italian dishes, including pasta,...pizza many delicious wines. I chose the tortellini a red wine that my partner ordered a pizza with beer. both were delicious! service was quick friendly the prices were very fair so it was a great value for the amount of food the quality we got."

"Hexenlochmuhle (literally translated as Witch's hole mill) is basically that. it was originally a very old watermill now turned into a little souvenir shop with a restaurant to eat at . it is definitely built at what feels like the bottom of a hole (it seems to be a long and endless drive down, down and ever downwards to get there). Not sure where the Witch part of it came from. I have been there before from time to time over the years. Pleasant surrounding view to eat at and an interesting downward spiral of a road journey to get there. The food is more kind of a cake and coffee thing than a full blown meal but the cake is great. A pleasant place to break for a morning brunch or an afternoon tea."
