"A restaurant that lives up to its name. We drew the short straw at Courtepaille. The experience was a total loss and disaster eating at the restaurant close to Ibis Hotel at Poitiers. We waited for an hour and a half for our food and when we finally got a response from the server she said it was because they ran out of the ratatouille, which we all had ordered, and that the chef decided to cook the other orders that were faster to fry up because they were rare steaks and ours would take longer because we ordered well done. (Basically choosing not to complete our orders! On our second attempt at modifying our order we waited over 30 minutes. And one of our meals was not made because they claimed they ran out of vegetables! (Grilled vegetable salad. when the food finally came, the steaks were burnt and tasted like charcoal! Paying the bill was another nightmare! The ratatouille and egg bowl and the grilled salad, which we never got were being charged! We had to speak up and and basically argue with the manager who refused to remove those two dishes because, according to her, “no one informed her that those meals were not completed. In the end after the lengthy argument they only removed the 5 euro kids meal and the 15% discount on the bill. This was a complete slap in our face and a total disrespect to us as customers. We will never be back to this restaurant again!"

This place was not vegan friendly .The only thing on the menu for vegans was a pomegranate salad and it was not tasty .

Be careful, it's not a short straw but a restaurant in the IBIS chain. We found that the meal was very average... the service is pleasant. It's not up to a short straw.

The bread has the ink of the burger was dry, not or very little sauce but onion well present... I just felt like eating a chicken net. I really didn't treat myself. I used to prefer the map from before.. a long time ago when we had peasant sausages.... What a disappointment, I'm not coming back.

Expensive for a casual restaurant. In my opinion is not offering value for money. The targeted customers are the travellers staying at their chain group hotels Ibis and Ibis Budget, in the same and nearby building. Surely taking excessive advantage in the pricing. The food on offer is not worth the price.

It's not Courtepaille anymore, actually, but it may be as well. The service is kind and effective. The kitchen has perfectly agreed to us (a calf with apricots that do not leave indifferent). Attention: the choice of dishes is more varied than what the website might suggest. A place to try, all the more if you stay at Hotel Ibis.
