Delicious steak! And an extra nice chef! Very original atmosphere!

Best meal we had during our stay in Montreux. We had the tasting menu and it was all excellent, especially the fondue! C'est ca!

What a find! Lovely quirky little restaurant with the best fondue and the staff were really friendly. Open Mon-Fri. Would highly recommend.

We made a reservation and when we arrived it was not working. Because we “booked as teenagers” as the owner said (we use the app they offered and not the phone).

This is a small restaurant hidden in the middle of old Montreux. The weather allowed us to see on a terrace with a fire and enjoying a cozy atmosphere of the place. The fondue was excellent with the just right amount per person. The local wine complemented the experience. Our Dachshund (sausage dog( was with us, and she was very much welcomed on the terrace. One word of advise, BOOK IN ADVANCE or you risk not to have a table.

Very cozy place up on the hills. I came sort of early on a weekday and ended up being the only person to dine there my entire meal, but I was fortunate to have the company of Lulu, the cat who lives there! I had the tasting which consisted of the charcuterie board, cheese fondue and dessert. I assume it was meant for two people because I struggled to finish everything, but tried really hard to finish it. Everything was lovely and would come back again if I’m in Montreux in the future.

For our last night of a 8-day holiday in Switzerland we were keen to try a fondue. The restaurant offers a menu de dégustation comprise of a generous stater of cured meats and local cheeses, followed by a fondue accompanied by delicious potatoes and a local dessert of meringue with unique Gruyère cream. Including a local bottle of Montreux white wine the total of 112 SF was good value. We opted to have our meal in the outdoor terrace, the only diners there but a nice cool environment with a view of the mountains in the distance. Worth the walk up the steep hill in the old town.

We found this restaurant online after arriving in Montreux. It’s located in old town Montreux, a short walk uphill from our hotel. We were four hungry travelers, arriving for dinner before the restaurant opened. The chef had not yet arrived, but Daniel let us in the side door, and got us started on what turned out to be a feast, and possibly the best meal we had in Suisse Romande! The chef suggested a charcuterie board as a starter, and we went for it! Great quality meats and local cheeses. We ordered the cheese fondue, served with bread, potatoes, cornichons, and Pearl onions. The day’s special was the endives, stuffed with ham and covered in a cheese gratin. I would recommend Grütli to anyone who will listen. My husband and I were staying in Montreux right along Lac Leman, and we decided to go for a hike (the hills are no joke! because we found this spot online. We got there pretty early, probably around 6:30pm, and the woman working told us unfortunately they didn’t open until 8pm. We were bummed but thanked her and headed out to see if we could find another good spot that was open. We got a little ways down the street, and she came running after us to say the chef told her it was ok for us to dine there. We were SO happy. We didn’t want to make the chef go too much out of his way, so we just got some Swiss wine and fondu, and it was so delicio...
