"Has it been more than five years since my last visit? I thought of a handcrafted beer and had a very nice conversation with Barkeeper Anna, who was super friendly and helpful. I ordered the Vocation Smash Grab Double IPA (8.50CHF) and Anna offered a large portion of salty peanuts with my drink, which was cool! (Ask for the artisan beer menu with a good selection of designs and filled beers). The interior has not changed much with wooden seats, there is the well-designed terrace, but I decided to have a place on one of the tables inside and enjoyed people watching out the huge windows. Surprisingly, they have no WLAN, but Anna, who spoke German and English, offered me a hot spot connection that was not necessary. Another cool place I remember. They offer food from the Cartel burrito shop next door and have a sister bar (The El Dorado) on the Limmatstraße. Look at the place. Very recommended!!"

The staff is well oiled beer and smile serving machines. Excellent for live music (with beer) or just sit back (with beer) and relaxing (with beer). Love this place more than fat children love cakes.

Very nice bar which doesn't tries to be fancy or a pub, good collection of beer so can avoid the usual local beers. They have good concerts in a nice club atmosphere from time to time. I like it a lot.

One of my favorite bars in Zurich. Good lokal beer plus many other from around the world. Nice mood, like in a harbour, sailors bars. There are live concerts very often as well. Mostly crowdy after 20.00

centrally located bar for everyone. from the personal and the guests you will be warmly welcomed - a joy to be hospitable. great beer selection, fair prices, good mood, good music... exactly what a bar or pub is. small outside terrace. by the way: only cash.

...or what my friends told me. The story could probably have been in St. Pauli. Today it is a friendly and cool place. Barts and redneck shirts dominate the hipster spot. Good selection of bears, peanuts and fast and friendly service at some realistic prices make it a really attractive place. Will be back for a few more...

Hafenkneipe is located less than 10 minutes’ walk from the Zurich Main Train station. Roger and his staff will take care of all of your beverage needs. They also serve a few hot sandwiches on the menu. There are stools at the bar, a few circular seating benches and the stage for concerts in the evening, one of which the bartender informed me they were hosting later in the evening.
