"The Royal was refurbished approx years ago. I reserved a table and was happy where the table was. Menu had changed since my last visit and I had the fillet steak which was very tasty. Our waitress was very attentive and allowed me to check my steak had been cooked how I had ordered before she left the table. The other orders were also cooked and presented well. All in all a very pleasant experience and I had off my total bill with my AA membership discount. Would definitely go there again"

It’s always nice to be there the staff knows your face. Food is always well cooked just how we like it. It’s children friendly which is always a big bonus. Great management Hugh. Keep up the fantastic work

The restaurant was friendly and very well set out. The food and drink were great.The only problem was the OpenTable booking did not appear on their system, however they found a table for us although we had only an hour before we had to leave it. However the waitress service could not be faulted, very friendly and courteous
