I've tried several of the menu items and they are all delicious. Some of my favorites: Hana, Oyajidono, Gyoza (normal or shrimp) Be sure to make a reservation!

celebrate a birthday here. the Japanese food was, as usual, authentic and high quality. the service was very friendly and prompt. great place for couples or family eating.

In my opinion, the city has more interesting and surprising Japanese restaurants by a much better price. We ordered a mixed plate for 2, which was not enough. We ordered additional 8 pieces of the special roll, 6 pieces of salmon skin roll and other...5 pieces of a fried sushi. None of them was awesome or surprising. Just one more sushi. So, I will for sure not come back.

Fresh, tasty, and well prepared by the Sushi master! When he opened the restaurant 5? Years ago this was the best insider sushi, and now it seems that everyone has heard the news. His absolute specialty is the beat fish that you will get if...you order a “Hanabi” ship/boat. For 40€ 2 persons your stomach will start to sing. The only problem is to agree with your partner who gets which 1/2 beatfish out of three I guess best solution is to order +1 beatfish so everone gets 2

This restaurant is small but cozy, in the middle of nowhere but he cooks, server and waitress are very kind, smiling and charming. The carte is very complete with lots of choices of sushi but also varieties of other dishes. I highly recommend the teriyaki...chicken whose skin was crispy and delicious, the tataki beef sushi rolls as well as the creative crispy rolls. If they have miso aubergine (egg plant) take it !!! recently opened many Japanese restaurants in stuttgart. some of them are in luxurious location in the city. not so hiro. if they don't know, it could easily be overlooked, a tiny, humble local in a quiet neighborhood at the city border. but here stops the instruction. the plates are luxurious and the recipes are special. the friendliness exactly what they expect from the best Far Eastern tradition. the attention to the details is where the people in hiro’s excellent: I never tasted such a good udon and never tasted such a good rice.

We arrived at 9pm and were told to place our order quickly, as the kitchen closes at 9:30pm., so we did. Most food came, and the sushi was good. Unfortunately, a couple of dishes never appeared. When we asked for them, they said that we...cannot order any more food because the cook has left. When we told them that this food had been ordered initially, but never arrived, they basically shrugged. Eventually, they offered to add an extra roll, which of course they charged us for, however one of us never got his main dish. Apart from a very brief sorry no effort was made to make up for this. This is abysmal service and ruined the whole experience for us.

I must say we cannot expect the best in Stuttgart when it comes to Japanese foods, but I visited Hiro 4 time in the last 10 months and overall I feel the service is better and friendlier than the others. Although the sushi selections are...limited compared to Sushi places in Frankfurt and Dusseldorf, but the selections are on par with the others in Stuttgart. (If you are a fan of TORO, fatty Tuna, you need to go to Kicho on Jakobstraße This is a small place a little far away from the central station, but I feel that overall the best pick (food, service, value all combined) for Japanese foods in Stuttgart, (I have been to Kicho, Kurose, Tokyo Dining, Sushi ya, Shima, Mikoto and sometime order...
