"We have made a trip with the very normal bus from Hinterzarten through the white snowy high-black forest landscape to Kirchzarten and have reached the restaurant Fortuna in the center of Kirchzarten; because we didn't want to know so much in this place and also didn't want to look great, we have arrived in the Fortuna. We had no great hunger in the face of an expected lush dinner, but something small should be. We ordered Altbadian noodle soup with beef and root vegetables or strength broth with awnings. Certainly, we would have met one of the main dishes from traditional Baden cuisine in the black. Especially the noodle soup was excellent; it was strong and at the same time very aromatic, the noodles were al dente, the root vegetables crisp and the beef floating in the soup was not an ominous something that no longer baptizes to anything else, but first-class meat in table lace quality, fine lean and very delicate. If we are in church again, we will certainly have a longer visit to Fortuna."

Opening hours are from Di-So from 12-14 and 17.30-21. The food is very good, I recommend the bathroom kitchen.

Very delicious food. The portions are worth their money. The staff is very friendly and also in October 2022 the tables are at a distance from each other and the staff serves with mask.

We ate here twice in our four night stay. The staff are great and very welcoming of the English, they have an translated menu and the food is good. Great atmosphere and clearly a popular place. We would consider staying at the hotel.

We ate here as a family of 7 and thoroughly enjoyed the evening and the food. The staff were welcoming and helpful. I realize english is their second language but they tried as hard as we did to work together and decipher the menu. Not...More

I realize english is their second language but they tried as hard as we did to work together and decipher the menu. Not a thing to fault and would recommend this over the several other restaurants we looked at in Kirchzarten and Freiburg. The restaurant is warm and welcoming for a fun night out.

In the middle of the fussweg is the KirchvartenHotel and Resturant Fortuna. An excellent menue with numerous choices including 2 or 3 nightly specials with soup, salad and desert for about 16€. Food quality and presentation were outstanding. I had a pfier lingerie special and my wife had the Jagerschnitzel. A 1/4ltr red wine at 4.50€ our total bill was 32.50€, We enjoyed our dinner so much ewe returned a second time and found it to be even better than before.
