"Boldly, Castle Farm collaborated with the Little Theatre's screening of "The Taste of Things" as the theme for this month's supper club. The film's exceptional portrayal of French devotion to the art of taste would have left us only dreaming of experiencing such exquisite cuisine; what a privilege it was to actually be able to indulge in it. Chef Pravin and his team at Castle Farm have crafted a explosion of flavors truly deserving of being associated with the film, which, much like apprentice Pauline, brings one to tears at the existence of such incredible tastes. Despite being seated at a table near the entrance, not my preferred spot, the location added to the evening as we could witness a culinary ballet unfolding before us. Pravin and his team moved gracefully around the small kitchen, communicating with each other with smiles and presenting each delectable dish to excited diners. There was no flashy showmanship of celebrity chefs, just a display of professionalism and tranquility."

"This restaurant was a terrible experience. Despite being recommended by a few people, as regular Indian food eaters, we can say it was the worst we've ever had. The owner was rude and made his young staff deal with customer complaints. It was concerning to see no Asian or Indian employees present and hear arguments from the kitchen. We felt sorry for the staff, who seemed scared of the owner, Darius. When we tried to address the issues, he threatened to call the police. It's a shame to see the customer always being right mentality lost. We hope that the staff find better opportunities at other restaurants in Bath where they won't be bullied or intimidated."

"My husband and I used to love this restaurant but recently have been very let down by the service. A few weeks ago we were looking forward to lunch and ordered 2 Katsu curries. One arrived but after 5 minutes we were still waiting for the other . Went up to the till to enquire and only one had been ordered. Eventually the second one arrived but by then the first one had been eaten . So effectively we had separate lunches. So disappointing. Ready to accept that mistakes are made we took our 3 granddaughters for lunch here this week . Five meals were ordered, two arrived but after 10 minutes no sign of the rest . On enquiring , yet again it took at least 10 minutes for the others to arrive. Unfortunately it was the 3 children’s meals which were delayed and mine and my husbands meals went cold whilst we waited. No apologies were offered. Also we were given any water for the table. This time I’m afraid we asked for the service charge to be removed from the bill . I’m not sure we’ll go back ,despite this being our favourite restaurant in Bath as we are vegan and one of us is Coeliac requiring gluten free. On the plus side the food is delicious. In these difficult times when the hospitality is suffering it’s time that Green Rocket stopped taking its customers for granted. I think we’ll go Oak in next time."

"I have been visiting Chew Kitchen for years and have always loved their roasts, however the last roast I had was probably the best one yet! I had the duo of beef and pork with the stilton gravy and my husband had the duo with the red wine gravy and neither of us could fault it. Chew Kitchen definitely produce the best roast in the valley!"

"I love food. I love finding new places to eat and exploring cities for the best bars and restaurants, but every time I go to Bath, I only book a table at this gem. Sometimes alone. Sometimes with family. The location (once you 're down those steps) is warm, welcoming and so cosy. The food is just incredible. Each time I find a different dish to rave over: last time it was the octopus, the time before it was the ox tail. Every mouthful screams 'this was created by people who love food! ' The chef has a Michelin star to his name and his passion and skill is apparent on each of the plates served by La Perla 's attentive staff. Even his gluten-free bread is one of most amazing things I 've ever tasted (although that might be because of the oil from the garlic prawns or the freshly-made alioli I load onto it). I hope to return for my birthday and I hope I 'll have room for the Catalan version for creme brulée. I usually do."

"We stumbled across this gem of a pub while camping in the area. It’s off the beaten track in a small village. We were greeted by a cheerful guy behind the bar, he was helpful and made us feel very welcome, the young lady who served us was also lovely, she ensured we had all we wanted and checked on us a couple of times. The food is out of this world! Excellent pub grub with a few twists, I had the “Mother Clucker” and my wife had the best fish and chips she’s ever had! The kids loved their menu, it’s quite cleverly written, offers loads of options including vegetarian and healthy choices as well as the usuals. A vegan friend was pleasantly surprised with the choice, no vegan burgers in sight!! she settled on the Veganic wrap, which she loved! Outside there is a great kids play area which kept the kids entertained for a good while, dogs are welcome in the pub and on the patio, but not in the play area, which is a great idea, we know the the kids are able to run around without liking out for poo! If you are looking for a chilled family/ dog friendly pub with great food and fabulous staff, then this is the place to visit!"

"I have been to this restaurant a few times, as it is quite popular. Personally, I find the atmosphere to be lacking intimacy, resembling a school dining hall. The food is decent, but slightly overpriced for what you get. The service is good. The main highlight of this restaurant is the view across the lake, although it faces east, which can be intense with the sun glaring through onto the tables. It is important to choose your table carefully based on the time of day and year. The setting is lovely and parking was free, although there have been charges in the past. I enjoyed my time there with friends, but it would not be my top choice. The restaurant does offer disabled access."

"I’ve been going to Good Day Cafe for over a year now. Their brownies are to die for. The perfect amount of crust with a gooey middle that is similar to ganache. Sadly they are trying to be good at everything which doesn’t work. It was my first time sitting inside the cafe and trying out their brunch. How disappointing. The staff are extremely rude and too young to understand how to treat customers. I came in with a friend and my dog carrying a matcha latte I purchased elsewhere. A staff member came up to me and stated I couldn’t drink my drink as it wasn’t purchased there even though I was going to spend money on their products. She then stood at the end of the room watching me every couple of minutes as if to tell me off if I were to drink my drink. At the end of our stay the card machine wasn’t working. She half made a joke, half told us to come up to her to pay but in a way which wasn’t polite. Made the whole situation uncomfortable. The food was also disgusting. I purchased avocado on sourdough toast with vegan sriracha mayo. I wish I took a picture. It was the thinnest slice I’d ever seen. The avocado was made into a paste and thinly applied as if they were spreading butter on toast. I had about 1/4th of a radish as garnish and a thin drizzle of sauce. I love spending money on food but £8 for that was a joke. You’d get a better sandwich from Greggs for half the price. Will definitely be returning for the brownies but sadly nothing else."

"Visited cafe au lait with my 6 good friends for a farewell brunch after a delightful weekend in Bath. After a short wait we were shown to our table. Unfortunately, this is where it all went down hill. We ordered our drinks from a waitress who was rude, rolling her eyes when asked any questions and we felt very rushed to make our order. The food itself was fine. It looked better than it tasted. No one asked how our food was and plates taken from us the second we had put down our cutlery. When clearing the table another waiter gestured rudely to my friend for her to pass her plate which was embarassing. We then went up one by one to pay our bill. As the last person came to pay there was an extra veggie breakfast and a vanilla latte outstanding. We double checked that everyone in our party had paid. No one had even ordered a vanilla latte. The waitress became very snappy and argumentative with us saying we just had to pay it and there’s a vanilla latte on the bill therefore we must have ordered one. Her attitude was horrible and we explained that we had not ordered a latte and she had just taken 6 payments one by one and we would not be paying for an extra breakfast. She then rolled her eyes again, and said I’ll void it then and stormed off in anger. Overall, a sad end to our trip. Will not be back and will not be recommending this place. Clearly a victim of instagrammable inedible food. Staff could clearly do with some lessons on good manors and how to count."

"I was recently in keynsham at a visit in bath. I was close and asked for a recommendation for eating somewhere. as fan of Italian eating was made a booking for me at laviano. I received a warm greeting at the arrival. I found the whole staff very attentive and nothing was too much annoyed. I decided to start something broth. I counted 8 slices of 8 different and delicious broths with balsamikum and olive oil they are a favorite of me. I wanted to try a few dishes, I went for two appetizers instead of a pornstar. I had a grilled dish and meatballs in a tomato sauce. I am very fussy about meat, but was sure it was 100% bark. the meatballs were beautifully well seasoned with a good Italian tomato sauce and whispers of parmesan. I was too full to try something else, but had a good meal good wein excellent service in a very intelligent contemporary environment."

"Big thumb up to Climats!! Climats in Time out is a real gem! the location is right across from the elevator that’s easy to find. Recently tried their risotto, and it was fantastic. The rice was cooked just right, creamy and packed with flavor. I was impressed by how well they presented it, even in a food court setting. The staff were friendly and quick, which made the whole experience even better. Whether you're looking for a quick bite or a cozy meal, Climats is perfect. It's definitely my go-to spot now for good food in a relaxed setting."

"I have visited this restaurant twice, once on a Sunday and then again on a Friday. The Sunday roast at this place is the best in Bath, hands down. On my second visit, I went with a date and we tried the curry selection for 2, which allows you to sample everything on the menu in tapas style. It was my favorite dining experience of its kind, not just in Bath, but in all of Britain. The building used to be a barn and looks unassuming from the outside, but inside it is warm and cozy, especially in the evening. All the ingredients are either grown onsite or sourced locally, which is evident in the freshness and flavor of the dishes. The service is friendly and accommodating. The only downside is the difficulty in getting a table due to high demand (booking a table for Sunday roasts at least 3 months in advance is recommended). I am excited to try their Saturday supper club. Castle Farm, please never change! "I often come into Bath to work in a cafe. I find it breaks the monotony of working from home. I couldn't have been happier to land upon the Boston Tea Party! I was made to feel most welcome. I sat and had brunch and then lunch, in lovely leafy surroundings at the corner of Kingsmead Square. The drinks and food were great and the staff friendly and didn't bother me or complain that I sat in their cafe for 5 so many hours. I had my own space and electric point for my laptop. Thoroughly productive day!"

"Simply Top Notch! We recently stayed at this gorgeous cosy gem of a place with friends for a weekend and absolutely loved it! Adam and the team were super welcoming and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable and creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. Food portions are very generous, delicious and nicely presented! Great Vegan drinks options too! Added bonus was the evening entertainment by a local musician and we ended up dancing and singing the night away to the loved classics! The next morning the team had also brought in a TV for us to enjoy watching the Women’s World Cup! Oh and the rooms are spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. Great shower and super comfy bed! Finally, plenty of car parking spaces and our furry friends are also welcome. Look forward to visiting very soon."

"We went to jars meze between Christmas and new year. We were quite shocked at how long we had to wait to get served wait for our food. It took approx an hour to get served. Unfortunately, it didn't seem like it was just us that day as we heard the waitress complaining that another table had to wait for an hour and that they were unhappy with the service. Perhaps they were just particular busy and understaffed in the christmas period. However, the waitresses complaining prevented me from asking for any additional dishes drinks as we felt bad for overwhelming them. Most of the food was quite nice but I would say it was somewhat overpriced for what it was. The pita bread was quite dry. Given we had ordered mezze dishes, we would have much preferred that dishes came out to the table as they were ready to prevent the long wait time. As there were so many dishes, they didn't fit fully on the table and some were cold by the time we got round to eating them."

"Oh My God! I have just heard about 'The Woodford Words ', a pathetic attempt at some kind of customer centric mantra I assume? A warm welcome every time Nothing is too much trouble . When people visit, they get what they want without any fuss The list of stomach churning tosh goes on.....but just look at the poor reviews. Went here the other day for coffees and was told we couldn 't sit by the lake unless we were eating. We could only sit up by 'the shed ' if we only wanted drinks! Went here again today after the 4 mile walk that starts at Woodford Lodge and asked for coffees. This time a girl told us to come back later as they wanted to clear the food orders first?! 'The shed ' was closed therefore no drinks available there, so that 's why we came the few feet to the lodge and after all we were paying customers whether we were eating or not. There are no signs to say 'food only '. As we left I heard the same girl ask a couple who were sitting down if they would.like any drinks. I asked her why she had offered them drinks, but not us. They are eating she said. They were only looking at the menu, that 's all. I asked her again for drinks and she simply said she couldn 't as it 's management rules . I have never heard such rubbish and welcome a 'management ' response to confirm that they discriminate between drinkers and eaters at will. Who knows, we may well have ordered some food too?"
