"We were staying really close to the Ardvasar for a few days in August. The outside is beautiful and I was really excited that it would be our local for the week. Unfortunately the inside lets it down. Instead of the couthy highland pub I was expecting it's more of a sports bar.Huge TV which was on all the time. We asked for it to be turned off as no-one was watching it. Apparently it could only be turned down! It put people off and limited where people could sit...we saw two groups come in amd leave without staying for a drink because the only tables available were under the TV. It's a shame...a good bothy pub should be for a bit of banter between locals and tourists.Keep the TV for the big sporting events and the place would be much better. We only visited once because of the lack of atmosphere.Shame because they have a good range of local beers,a very good draught cider and friendly staff."
