"Popped in as the cafe next door was closed. Wanted a couple of sandwiches and drinks so sat down at a table and waited for a member of staff to come over. After 10 minutes, whilst staff had walked past us, no one had even acknowledged us so went to the counter to be told it wasn't table service. We hadn't been in before and didn't know that thanks for leaving us sitting there for 10 minutes! We order sandwiches and was surprised not to be asked about choices of bread/rolls etc. Unfortunately, we let that go and the sandwiches arrived on sliced white bread and were very dull. At this point, what looked like the Manager or owner started to put some of the chairs on tables and do some maintenance work on them so at that point, we decided to call it quits and go somewhere else. According to friends who live in the village, your experience at Jaspers depends on whether the Owner/Manager takes to you or not guess it wasn't our day!"

I ordered a sausage sandwich for £4.30 and was disappointed to find a small roll with two sausages that weren't even cut in half. They didn't offer any sauce when I ordered. It definitely wasn't worth the money. I'll be spending my money at Morton's cafe next door when it reopens.

Really impressed! Very busy, usually a good sign, sat outside with our dog (they’re also allowed inside) and had coffee, jacket potato and a toasted sandwich. Simple food but both done well and nicely presented. Buzzy vibe inside, nice selection of cakes. Very clean including the toilets. Will definitely be back.

Saw the cakes on line which looked wonderful. However very disappointed when it arrived at the table.Well ,All I can say is it was about a third of the size I expected. Four mouthful’s and it was gone!!.My husband and I eat out often and this has to be the smallest slice I have ever had(bordering on mean)So not value for money. Will not be returning. Cheap food and cheap quality. The coffee was awful really didn’t have any flavour to it. The food was quick and came before any drinks had arrived. It wasn’t particularly busy but it still felt quite rushed from the staff such as clearing plates whilst others on the table were still eating and the second the cutlery was put down. A shame that the food quality is poor.

Called in on a Sunday morning as had been recommended to visit. Really busy and just managed to find last table available in and out) which was a good sign. Had a Jaspers breakfast £7) and then had a Pot of tea and Orange Juice so about £11 which I thought was decent value as the breakfast was excellent and plentiful. Staff were helpful and friendly…would definitely recommend.

On a sunny Friday afternoon, I walked up Ruddington High Street and was drawn to Jaspers. I decided to sit at outside table 14 and found the staff to be lovely, polite, and helpful. I ordered an omelet for my wife and a BLT for myself, along with coffee. The omelet was beautifully cooked and served with a side salad. However, I was disappointed with my BLT which consisted of three thick slices of bread with chicken mixed with mayonnaise on one side, and lettuce and tomato on the other, with more salad on the side. The chicken portion was minimal and there was a lack of bacon, leaving me a bit disappointed. Visualizza piatti

Four of us visited the restaurant on a busy Bank Holiday Monday. Initially, there was only outdoor seating available, but we saw someone leave from an indoor table and quickly grabbed it. The waitresses promptly cleaned and set the table for us, even changing a seat that had been spilled on by the previous diner. We ordered a variety of meals and drinks from the counter, and the service to our table was fast. The food was hot and delicious, and we are always satisfied with our meals here. The staff are efficient and friendly, and we often take home some cake for later because the portions are generous and tasty. We highly recommend this restaurant.

I 've seen another review which says 'cheap food and poor quality ' and actually I completely agree. The breakfast and the smoothy were absolutely fine but nothing special and the produce used was pretty cheap tasting. The interior is exactly the same. At first glance a cozy place but then everything is cheap and uncomfortable. The cutlery was awful. They were cheap and flimsy but also the handles were sharply edged so cut into our hands as we were using them. Cheap and unpleasant. There was water on the side that we could help ourselves to. Great....but they issued plastic disposable cups. Our smoothies came in plastic cups....but no worries we had paper straws. Between us we had collected...

"I went there for Christmas dinner with my partner and we had a horrible experience will never go again. My partner had steak which was lovely but the chips, onions, sauce and other accompaniments were cold. I had traditional turkey the only edible thing was the carrots and turkey! The roast potatoes were hard as rock and seemed either overcooked or cooked from frozen. The parsnips I couldn’t cut, cauliflower was hard and the pigs in blanket was so hard it couldn’t be cut. There wasn't even a yorkshire pudding. We complained just about mine and they brought me a new one but that was worse. In the end I only ate a few carrots and some turkey. I complained again when he came to ask how it was again. He said he would ask manager to come over, he took 15/20 mins in meantime my psrtmer had eaten his steak and I was just sat there. The manager offered to let us have our 1 drink each free plus one more round. I was grateful they had offered but it had still spoiled my Christmas and I was emotional as I work every year as a nurse on Christmas Day and cook when I get in (for 40 years) this was the only time I had been out for christmas dinner. It took 50 mins to clear our plates. I just wanted to go home but we had dessert to eat so I had that it was nice but was described as Eton Mess but it was just a big meringue with a dollop of cream on and about 2 strawberries chopped up no sauce at all. The server was nice but we couldn’t get anyone’s attention to get a drink even though we were the last sitting and the kitchen was closed, it wasn’t that busy. I am disappointed and even though they tried to help me it wasn't enough, when we paid £90 each. They warm everything up in the microwave I think apart from meat and fish that’s what it tasted like anyway."
