"I decided to visit this restaurant with my wife and two kids. We were attended by such a polite and welcoming member of the restaurant staff. Interior is very basic but paintings of indian railways on the walls made this restaurant very unique. MY daughter who is 6 years old was amazed by these paintings. We had chilli paneer, mutter Paneer and daal makhni with Jeera( cumin rice. Unlike other restaurants they dont use eggs to make naan. Restaurant staff looked after us with great passion. Food was prepared and served to a good standard. We even had 2 portions of Gulab jamun with ice cream on the house. What a generosity... Space for parking is just in front of the restaurant. We will definitely recommend Journey restaurant to food lovers."

The food at this restaurant was terrible. I was served raw chicken, the staff was unfriendly, and I ended up getting sick from the food.

This restaurant was the Express and Star Indian Restaurant of the year 2017 and I can understand why. On a Sunday evening it was not busy. The food was excellent, best Indian food I have had in a long time and very good value for money. The staff were very friendly. It was a pleasure to eat there. Definitely, be going back next time we are in the area. The bonus was a free lift back to our hotel not far but much appreciated.

I visited this restaurant for one night while in Bristol and was thoroughly impressed. The fact that they don't offer halal food is a good indication that they serve genuine home-cooked Indian cuisine. We enjoyed the chicken tikka masala, basmati rice, and garlic naan, all of which were delicious. The complimentary chutneys, sauces, and poppadoms were fantastic and had an authentic taste that surpassed any I had tried before. Visualizza piatti

Visited here from Bristol and i have to say it was great all round. The first indicator that this was an authentic Indian restaurant was the fact that they do not offer halal food which really tells you a lot. The chicken tikka masala, rice, various chutney and dips and the garlic naan bread were all great and at a fair price. Staff were very friendly and welcoming and the portions were a great size, we shared 1 curry and 1 rice between 2 of us.

We booked this restaurant for New Year’s Eve as it was one of a few that stayed open past midnight. The staff were so attentive and I would like to say a special thank you to Raj who made the best slippery nipples and a non-alcoholic version for a friend that wasn’t drinking! The food was excellent real authentic flavours and the lamb melted in my mouth! I struggled to eat my portion, 1 bowl of rice can share between two people especially if you are having bread too. You can watch the chefs preparing the food as you wait. I will definitely be returning with the family!

"The food is really enjoyable. Some of the meat can be a bit dry in parts but generally speaking it's quite good. Is it better than what you'd get at the average chippy? Not for what it costs. Ordering two box meals and a couple of sides got the cost up to £50 with charges. Considering a large mixed meat in naan at my local chip shop is £7, it's incredibly expensive. There's far too much waste which really needs to be addressed. Every food item is at least two layers of packaging deep. With a box meal you have the outer corrugated cardboard box, then all dividers inside, then the kebab sandwich is in a box of its own, then it's in a foil wrapper, then it's in a paper wrapper. It's all needless waste and when we're all trying to be more conscious of our carbon footprint this just isn't required. There are some nice things that just aren't replicated elsewhere, their kebab bread is fantastic and very similar to a traditional Turkish pide. Their sauces are really good too. Full of flavour and balanced well with the meat but I will say there's never enough of it. Three little poxy pots is all you get.The fries are average. Nothing remarkable about them. The spicy fries are a tasty addition but this option does bump up the price but again, perfectly average.Overall I'd recommend that it's worth trying at least once but the prices are way over valued and quantity in some areas lack. If they cut down on all the needless packaging they could even bring the prices down but £15-20 for a box meal (one can of pop, one kebab sandwich, one fries and two spring rolls) it's a bit of a joke."
