Kendell's Bistro - Menu

oui oui! French bistro feeling restaurant with great service, eating wine, atmosphere. a real tasty bite. quite reasonable pre-theater menus. but we made ourselves on the à la carte for the full joy. beautiful veggie main deep roasted cauliflower cheese and calf meat.

The menu is chalked up on a massive blackboard, in traditional French bistro style. In one sense, that’s quite annoying if you’re the type of person who sometimes stares at a menu for a good fifteen minutes before deciding what to order…you do tend to feel a little conspicuous gawping at a blackboard for anything more than a minute or two, but on the

As you can see presentation wasn't perfect on this evening... but it didn't affect the flavours. Flavours always trump presentation in my book, something can look amazing but taste horrible, whereas something that doesn't look amazing but tastes incredible will always win. The coffee however was good by all accounts from Tom, although not as good as some of the coffee he tasted in Paris... He standards have since risen.

Last night, my experiences were amazing. loved the ambiente of the restaurant very romantic and intimate! we ordered escargot, french wobbles soup, rump steak and ente confit. the food was delicious, but the escargot could have been more salty. the drinks were exquisite! we haven't ordered dessert since we were full. the restaurant had no menu so we were asked to see the board. the staff was very friendly! we arrived there a little early than our reservation, but they showed us a nearby bar where we could wait.

overall our experience in Kendell’s bistro was a joy, and we enjoyed our evening through. the service was attentive and helpful, and the food was rich, tasteful and tasty. the fixed price menu runs from 5.30 – 7 at the weekend, and 5.30 to 8 on weekdays, and it is definitely good value for money when they are good with a bit earlier eating in the evening. we went to the pleasure of a very funny comedy game, the beauty and beast, in the west yorkshire playhouse, and for a few champagne cocktails in epernay to finish our night.

We arrived there slightly early than our reservation but they pointed us to a nearby bar where we could wait.

The first time we went to Kendells Bistro was over five years again and back then, there were still a few remnants of Neon Cactus. There was a also a brilliant deal of three courses and half a bottle of wine and food. We instantly fell in love with the place. Oh the food (we will get to that) as much as we love it, I would have to say that it’s the service as well that keeps us coming back. Every visit has a personal touch, it is clear to see that all the staff work extremely hard to ensure that the service is second to none.
