"I have been following Kitty's Tea Room on Facebook for a while and have been loving the food options they have shown. This was my first time actually trying out Kitty's Tea Room. I had a conference to attend and wanted to pick up some food before their opening time. They were very accommodating and even changed their start time earlier so I could pick up before they officially opened. As for the food, oh my, it was absolutely delicious. I ordered breakfast, lunch, and two sweet treats of each and we enjoyed every single bite. Thank you so much, I will definitely be back again!"

The food and service at this restaurant are consistently outstanding. Additionally, there is a fantastic wool shop on site, making it well worth a visit.

Excellent food and great service. Definitely looking forward to the next visit! Very welcoming! We are deaf and we felt comfortable there stayed nearly two hours! White Hot Chocolate very warming on a day like this, and the cakes looked absolutely majestic.

Impromptu visit. Have always wanted to try the tea room and was not disappointed. Intended to have coffee but, having looked at the extensive menu, ended up having cold drinks, sandwich panini, and cakes. All delicious and we'll presented. Good value for money. Staff attentive and friendly. Nice decor and ambience. A gem of a find!

My friends and I decided to have breakfast here. This place is not only a cafe, but also a craft shop and sweet shop all in one, so I immediately give it a 5-star rating. The service was fantastic and very friendly, and the home cooked food was delicious. We were too full to try any of the cakes, so we bought a selection of sweets to take with us. This place is truly a hidden gem.

Went for Christmas festive afternoon tea with husband and granddaughter on Wednesday. As pre-booked, table was already laid for us. Food was plentiful, delicious Christmassy themed sandwiches, cakes and scones. Large pot of replenishable tea. Too much to finish so boxed and brought some back home. Staff very friendly, pleasant atmosphere. Quirky place situated at rear of the wool shop (never knew it was there! . Will certainly be visiting again. Highly recommended.

First time back at Kitty's since re-opening and great to see the care and attention which has gone into re-opening with social distancing and safety in mind. Track and trace system in place, masks throughout, and plenty of space. I called and booked a table for lunch with my 2 year old daughter which we both enjoyed. Generous portions of home made food, great coffee, cake to finish and a couple of amazing looking takeaway cheesecake pots for the road! The menu looks excellent and we'll be making this a regular lunch and weekend breakfast spot.

"Our first visit. We cannot praise thank The Wellie highly enough. What a find! Peacefully rural on a quiet road to the south of Baughurst. A classic, pretty country pub, now converted to an excellent restaurant, with three rooms. What strikes you first is how immaculate The Wellie is, inside and out. The large garden is a delight. Masses of dahlias and all manner of bushes and plants. Birds, birds and more birds. Do check out the vegetable garden beyond the rear car park. You then walk inside to the warmest of relaxed welcomes from the owners, Simon and Jason, and manager, Sheila, and their lovely young helpers. Nothing is too much trouble. The first thing you’ll spot is the array of fruit, veg salad for sale by the pub bar – the Wellie Deli. Along with home made jams, chutneys, quiches, etc. I then spotted the two hand pumps! Longdog Golden Poacher Basingstoke Pride. The seating inside is for diners every session is a sell out! But I was very happy to sup several excellent pints of well kept draught Basingstoke Pride in the garden – until I discovered their Negronis! Truly the best this side of Kwant (Piccadilly). We’d opted for the room in the pub: the Apartment. Two rooms on the first floor, knocked through. Enormous comfy bed, large rainfall shower, sofa, mini bar – two TVs! Free milk homemade shortbread. One of the discoveries we made here is the fabulous tea they serve from Prince Sons. As you can tell by now, we were very happy with our first stay at The Wellie… and then we went down for dinner! A truly exceptional menu from Jason’s kitchen, which changes each evening. Highlights were the scallops wrapped in pancetta, the pollack, the lamb pot pie, the twice baked cheese souffle, the NY cheesecake, the rhubarb ice cream, the treacle tart... All so fresh, tasty, and mainly from their garden. What we loved most was it was relaxed but fine dining without the tiny portions. The Full English breakfast the next morning was equally tasty. All in all, we did not want to go home! Thank you Simon, Jason Sheila. We will be back, soon."
