"Good food always remains an individual taste. For me and my family, this variant of pizza is one of the best and most delicious in the area of Kelkheim. But what makes the restaurant special is the owner and his team. Here you are not hiding somewhere in a separate kitchen, but has integrated the kitchen and the splendor of Steinofen ideally into the small, atmospheric and beautifully decorated restaurant. So the owner comes to the table personally and takes a few minutes for a little chat when it allows the utilisation. Steak also offers one of the best price/performance ratios in the environment and is better for worlds than nearby restaurants that make this dish even part of its name. Here you get something for your money and since someone seems to live an overall concept of conviction, the small details that are also important to me personally (e.g. clean and reasonably covered tables, tailored colors, an appealingly designed and above all clean menu etc. Please continue as before! We are looking forward to our next visit."

"We ordered a takeaway from here previously but when it arrived there were a LOT of mistakes with the order, so they took our name down and told us that next time we came in we would receive special service. Not put off (the pizza was really good), I took my colleagues there for lunch. It was amazing. The service was so so friendly (the waitress really did remember us and offered us a free pizza). The food was amazing (the truffle pizza really has a LOT of truffle on, which was amazing for EUR14!). I really enjoyed it and the atmosphere here was also really nice. I will definitely be coming back (tonight in fact)."

"we have been eating several times in the la vida. Mostly due to lack of direct alternatives in the environment. the first impression has been confirmed continuously. the restaurant itself is atmospheric and cozy, as the tables are quite apart. a continuous concept is not recognizable, a mix of Spanish-Portuguese food and typical German food is offered. you should choose a direction and consistently go through it. the service is in order, we have experienced warmer, friendly and more attentive customer orientation in the direct surrounding area. unfortunately, the kitchen and thus the price/performance ratio also reflect this. the foods (especially the tapas) are often boiled and tastefully as well as visually little authentic, sometimes only warmed and not freshly prepared. a cheese plate made of cheese in slices (from the super market), without arrangement like oliven etc. The salads are unfortunately also arranged little nicely and only provided with a few clecksen dressing - without any spices. when then the noodles were reached to the main course (cold meat, unfortunately too strongly heated and therefore tough) only when the food was already cold again, the disappointment was complete. another chance we will give to the la vida only if all the alternatives in the surrounding have closed, the price/performance ratio is currently not justified. with a little more effort (the impression is created, one rests on the location advantage in falkenstein) and a clear gastronomic concept with a stringent offer you could create an appealing locality."

"We came here in July for the first time. We both love Indian food and have seen quite some Indian restaurants. This one is not too large but cosy. It has a terrace and playground outside so also suits families with children. My wife always eats vegetable Byriani, I choose the chicken Vindaloo (Mittel scharf). For starters you get some papadum on the house. The food was good. My vindaloo was indeed spicy as it should be. So far my experience with Vindaloo in Germany is that it is never really spicy, perhaps because Germans do not really like spicy. My wife's byriani started out as a disappointment as it was just basmati rice with no vegetables. The waitress said there are was another one (but somewhere else on the menu) which did have vegetables in it. No problem, she just took the fish back and changed it to the other one. All in all, good food at normal prices and excellent service!"

"The atmosphere inside this restaurant is really cosy and inviting. The four is very good, with only a couple of small comments to make.... main course was perfect, dessert was very good, but the appetisers were "interesting"... 1 appetiser for example was: Burrata with Tomato Sugo". The burrata was excellent, but the tomato sugo was way, way too much. It was extremely rich and powerfully flavoured, which is OK, but then it should be served differently. It came in a bowl with the burrata in the middle... way too much of the sugo and therefore too overpowering for the burrata. It would have been better served on a flat plate with a very, very thin layer of sugo under the burrata. Another appetiser was: grilled calamari on salad. The calamari itself was excellent, but the salad contained a lot avocado and this just did not match flavour-wise. In the case of the appetisers I have a feeling the kitchen was trying to be too creative without ever having sat down, eaten and critiqued their own creation before letting it loose on their customers. So other than that, the staff were friendly and helpful. The wine choice (and recommendations) was good."
