"A friend moved us to this cool little place after finding it on Google cards. After we have consumed the equivalent of a middle pig and washed everything with a few thousand gallons of white beer, we felt very full to go the...20 minutes to Congressbar, but we were certainly glad that we did! The bar takes a quiet corner place, I am a leafy area right outside the city centre. There are (at least in summer) a few seats outside to break if you want to take a break/pause. The decor is some old school (think along the lines of a bar Columbo or Quincy could visit) with comfortable benches on the back and bar stool on the front. The cocktails are delicious and London prices are so expensive for Munich, but well made for your money. Beer selection is minimal and I think only filled, but again sufficient. I can't stress enough, even though THE WINE is BAD. I made this mistake after I am imbibing a few Martinis and the result was a very doubtful Austrian red, that would have been delicious when it was blown with some salt over fish and chips. Maybe. I chose the wrong, but up to this point in the evening I might have drunk vinegar by chance! The bartender in any case was very friendly and prompt, top brands! As the photos show, the bar has a small stage on which a number of acts performed during the night. Songs are mostly cover, but all good fun we had a German guy who effortlessly (very good) between Rock and Jill Scott and an American I think may have bribed the bar to let him sing as he was terrible, but he was a nice enough chap and the only decent dancer on the ground, of course from my fabulous self. German dancing is the spectacle to see very enthusiastic and "drusty" (think a cross between Saturday Night Fever and a Dalek.) It is crucial that most of the dance floor is located in touching distance of the bar, so you only need pivot to order another glass of sweet milk mid dance. Overall, I had a great time in this bar. Drinks a little expensive, music variable and quite old-fashioned, but very charming all the same. A really nice crowd, comfortable seating and a pleasant location would definitely go back!"
