"Passing through this area, a beautiful discovery of this restaurant where we literally enjoyed each other. We even planned the evening meal by taking a ride. You will not be disappointed by the flavours and freshness of the products. The dishes are well presented with lots of colors and originality. I recommend without pb. Go ahead!!!"

"So you've been in France for a few weeks and you've quickly realised that the coffee is absolutely rubbish everywhere. So when you pull into the pretty little village called Guethary on the Cote Basque you think that you have absolutely no chance of a half decent brew. Prepare to be surprised! I am happy to report that Providence delivers the goods. The barista there today admitted that she was still improving her milk frothing, but I thought her cappuccino was spot on. This definitely beat any other coffee I've had in this part of the world and I intend to be propping up their bar for the rest of the time I am here."

"There are pizza places opening and closing all the time in Biarritz. This restaurant opened in place of the excellent Bibi Brasserie which I'm very surprised closed down.All of the other pizza restaurants in Biarritz serve approximately the same type of modern pizza: American style with more cheese than any other ingredient. Having been spoilt and eaten original pizza in Naples I am yet to find somewhere that replicates the experience but Joie comes very close and is miles ahead of everywhere else in town."

"The service was great but we left Very disappointed with the quality of the dishes, we drove all the way to the place cause we wanted grilled meat and fish, but we got uncooked pork, extremely hard meat with cartilage and a very scarce grilled fish sampler, as starters we asked for grilled octopus, they served a tiny dish, tapa style, with three little pieces of octopus and even some shrimp... On top of all, the wine was warm... 100€ bill for two pax, not worth the driving."

"Sat outside in seating area in front of restaurant under awning. It was great as it had been raining that day and we could still sit outside under cover. Owner served us and he was very attentive and helpful with suggestions. Food was great and very fresh. They make all food there by scratch and use local ingredients. The beef was superb. Atmosphere is relaxed and great for people watching on the street."
