"There is nothing left for me but to give this cool tiny little place a review. Hey, you are by Mama! Or would you dare to review a nice friend who invites you to eat by his family anything else but a AAA...note? Not to mention how warmth, open and charming their wellcome was and how their spoil your body and soul. Ok, I mean your senses! Why senses? SIGHT? hmm... you really gotta be there yourself. Nothing is cooler than taking a seat at a Pilot Lounge with Buddhas or Goddess Posters! Yes, the (M)TV is on in high but stil enjoyable volume (HEARING) to spoil you with some trendy music lol from a vintage color box placing on the top of the refridge/cupboard. As soon as you decided what you you feel like eating, by Mama- you eat the best! the lady host rushed her way to the kitchen (that noon she was alone without her loving hubby bec the real busy ho starts later on weekends) and from that on she'd pamper you with great great SMELL from the kitchen. You could also overhear what she is magicly doing. Once she is back with the generous food trays you'd def. say and sign your adoption certificate by Mama Papa Srilanka. Yes, I will! I have never eaten such an authentic traditional Srilankan or Indian, well prepared (seasoned, marinated, cooked, fried or whatever) dishes- ever! Not even close to the exclusive Indian Resto at Barbarossa Sq. So you got my forth sense now: TASTE?! The fifth- the TOUCH sense? Oh well, if you were really there you'd shake Mama's both hands, kiss her both cheeks and embrace her for awhile before leaving her busy with another adoption' matters... ; I bet you would! I probably already forgot what we ordered there. But IMHO, whatever you order (we got lamb, chicken and beef) you'd be under her magic yummy spells... ;"

The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable compared to other Indian or South Indian restraurants in Cologne. I have become a regular customer and do recommend this place. Owner and staff are very friendly. :

I loved the selection of the diners on the menu. there are some classic Indian dishes, but also some unusual (srilankan and south Indian). the seasoned are on point, so definitiv not for the weak hearts. in portions and quite large.

Awesome food I must say. I loved everything about the food. It's a delight to be fed for a good price. It taste exactly like a typical South Asian home made food. I'd definitely recommend going here and eating to your heart's content. Visualizza piatti

we ordered idly and masala dosa and the taste is really good. after a long time I felt like real Indian/Indian subcontinent food. the dame is really friendly and I enjoyed a conversation with her. the tee was also good. the amount of tees is more and would be better to share between two, even if they are a tee lover. mutton curry was also pretty good. it could be that the mutton curry can have a more lemon flavor and if they don't like, they talk to her. I think that's a very good place for South Indian food.

it is not a restaurant in the sense of the restaurant, but rather like a visit to its old tantenhaus for a meal. it has a series of sorted snacks that they can buy from outside to take with or have them as appetizers. served with a coconut green cutney or a red chili cutney, both are great. coming to the main court there are the choices of typical North Indian materials, but also some sri lankas specificities. we ordered the sri Lanka specialties veg koththu and idiyappam with fish curry) were both quite good. sri lankas eating is spicy, so make sure they discuss their spicy or u will need some of these mango leti, which by the way is simply ok. tante is the one who runs around and takes ord...

"In a 5-day stay in Cologne and as a lover of Indian cuisine, we had planned the Ginti. The visit took place on Monday to the beginning of noon. The reception was very friendly and cordial by the Lord of the House. The decor in Ginti is very modern, stylish, but also somewhat sterile and only very discreet supplements with Indian accessories. Young guests will probably find favors in the style of the institution. The place was still empty and so there was a chance to get a brief conversation with the mistress of the house. She brought us the menus, and there were Papadam with three from a culinary point of view pretty boring finished dives. We chose both a mango sauce as a drink that was thin and most likely prepared on the basis of a mango powder. Disgusting! I ordered as main dish Malai Kofta, vegetable balls in a mild curry sauce with ginger, garlic, almonds and coconut. This is not only one of my favorite Indian dishes, but it is also a dish that places higher requirements on a kitchen and therefore cannot be found in any Indian restaurant on the menu. In addition, quality and freshness can be well valued with this bowl. I ordered this dish with a higher sharpness, but not through the sauce, but ultimately through the vegetable balls themselves. The latter were produced excellently and their loose inner composition had the freshness of the preparation felt. This was undoubtedly a 5-star court. My accompaniment had opted for Tandoori King Prawn Masala, marinated royal cloves from Tandoor in a sauce with tomatoes, cashew nuts and raisins. This dish was also very tasty, rather mild and very generous in the number of shrimps. The rice was served unfavorably on an open bowl and had to measure any fragrance and aroma that could originate from cardamom capsules or spice cloves. After the main dishes were convinced, we were curious about the Indian ice cream, Kulfi. This came visually well over a carrot cut into slices, but could not be along tasteful. It was crystallized, little creamy and the aromas of the aforementioned mango powder were reappeared. Conclusion: a highly recommended Indian restaurant due to the excellent main dishes, but not yet matured in its culinary periphery. Therefore, provisionally three stars with an inclination to four."
