"Whilsts travelling thru the Somme area I stopped for a great luch at Le Bistrot D'Antoine opposite the Castle symbolising WW1.My grandfather served with the Australian 14th Bn in the 4th Division from May 1916 to late 1918 especially in Pozieres. Whilst he was injured some 6-8 times 3-4 leading to hospitalisation in England he survived the war and died at age 76 in 1968 when I was 15. He died with mustard gas still in his lungs a scrapnel in his knee from his encounters in the Somme."

"Let’s start with the positives, location is very central to the square and has a nice view of the local church. However please don’t be influenced by this, as i will describe later the service left much to be desired we arrived here as a member of our family is a fussy eater and wanted pizza at the start there were no outstanding issues and it was relatively relaxing the waitress came over and took our order and we got some drinks but after about 45 minutes with no food we started to wonder if they had put our order i to the kitchen but due to the lack of staff we struggled to ask anyone 15 minutes rolled by and finally the food arrived in total 1 hour for 4 pizzas that were nothing to write home about. The service and the staff were all over the place as we described it a complete shambles, there was one person we presumed to be the owner who was behind the bar shouting at the 2 staff and telling them what to do and when to do it not letting them run their own tables, as well as that they were very under staffed with 1 chef and 2 waiters causing there to be no one cleaning tables leaving a complete mess attracting flies and wasps, the plates and glasses that were brought back inside were just placed on the bar or put in piles on the floor. This is certainly not hygienic and does not really show to the costumers that the staff Care on the whole I would rate this place 2/10 at max."

"Désolé d'aller à contre courant des autres avis et peut être que je suis mal tombé mais j'ai été déçu.Le service était long mais je peux comprendre qu'en étant seule pour le service ce n'était pas simple.A la commande il ne restait plus que les salades possibles en plat alors que les tables avaient été réservées; j'ai trouvé ma salade sans saveur et d'ailleurs les mêmes salades n'avaient pas toujours les mêmes ingrédients; bref beaucoup de salade et peu de composant. L'aspect métissage des saveurs je le cherche encore.Bref déception et le repas n'a pas fait l'unanimité loin de là dans le groupe."

"Nous sommes venus manger ce midi et nous recommandons fortement. Aux gars du nord porte bien son nom, avec des produits de notre région, des plats généreux, des prix modestes en comparaison de ce que nous connaissons à Lille et surtout ... c'est très bon! J'ai mangé l'un des meilleurs et peut être le meilleur Welsh. Les autres se sont régalés avec la sauce du burger ou avec la qualité de l'andouillette. Les cafés gourmands copieux étaient finalement aussi peu raisonnables que la brioche perdue mais on s'est tous régalés. Arnaud, ca devait faire 30 ou 35 ans que l'on ne s'était pas vus et je te souhaite le succès que tu mérites avec ton restaurant. Avec le coeur et la qualité que tu apportes dans ton métier et les plats fauts maison, je n'ai aucun doute que tu réussisses. Bien entendu on reviendra!"
