"FoodI came here with a friend who lives in Fribourg, who told me I had to try one of the hamburgers, so I did.I had the hamburger 'Mondial', which comes with chips and a small side salad. The hamburger was indeed great and really big! The chips were also yummy and come with two sauces.I also had a coke and green tea with rose arome, which was really nice.My friend had a salad, which also looked good and was gigantic. If you like salad, it is definately enough as a full meal.AmbienceThe restaurant is a typical student location. It's not super fancy, but a nice place to hang out with friends. It is pretty dark inside though.There are lots of seats, but it was full when we arrived for dinner (without reservation). We had to wait about 15 minutes at the bar, so reservations are advisable.LocationLocated not far from the university and train station, about a 10 minute walk.ServiceThe bartender and waiter were both really friendly. Our order was forgotten, probably because the restaurant was really busy. When the waiter noticed this, he came by and apologized repeatedly and offered us free tea.PriceReally fair prices. Le Mondial has a small card with "tartines", hamburgers and salads. Nothing pretentious, but are are really good, loved their home made potato chips.

I didn't feel very welcomed here since I don't speak french. I found the workers alittle annoying. But it is nice with open windows and nice location. Food is ok.

Meat lover try the "ballon mondial" there. Its a Succulent, juicy, well balanced burger. From the dough to the dressing to the sauce. Everything is prepared to perfection.

Nice burgers and tartines. All food prices reduced on Tuesdays making it very affordable, but make sure to book your table, the place fills up quickly. The home made ice tea is pretty good.

I had a very good lunch-dinner with my friends here. We had burgers, which were delicious, alongside chips and a sauce that we could pick as we wished. The place is not the fanciest, but it is a nice place for dating with a group a friends for a good beer.

In the heart of the town of Fribourg, "Le Mondial" is one of the best places where to share a good meals with your friends. The prices are suitable for students and portions are huge! I go there with my friends very often and we are always satisfied.It is better to call and make a resrevation, because it is often full.

My wife, my daughter and I were on holiday in Switzerland, and were brought here by our friend Scilla, who is a regular. Despite the fact that our daughter was having a grade 1 meltdown when we came in, we had a really good experience here. The staff were really nice, and seemed to appreciate my appalling attempts at communicating in French (you know, as opposed to shoutng "laaaaager!" very loudly 6 times in English).I had the pepper sauce burger, Becca had a sandwich and Scilla a salad.
