"I visited this restaurant 2 or 3 times a few years ago and it was unfailingly great food in a really good atmosphere. Imagine my disappointment the other week that it has been refurbished to look like any other anodyne restaurant(which I coud have forgiven) and the food is bland, bland, bland, which I cannot over look? A starter of aubergines, tomato and mozzarella was utterly without seasoning and my chicken balllontine came of a bed of soggy, tasteless taglietelle. There was a dire lack of veg or salad with any of the main courses and three of us said the best overall verdict could be, 'Bordering on average. ' Oh, and they 'd lost our booking despite 3 emails and 2 phone calls..."
