"We were recommended by one of the bars in Castres where we were having a drink, as most places in Castres are closed on a Monday. The guy who told us about it said it was Michelin starred, so we thought we would try it. The food was ok but expensive. We went for the 36€ menu as it came with an amuse Bouche. This was two langoustines with a piece of dried tomato and a couple of pieces of orange. It was nice but where was the fancy cooking? Our entree was foie groix. Once again nice , pleasantly presented but where was the cooking? For the main course I had St Jacques(scallops) there were four tiny ones served with asparagus and a dish of pasta mixed with vegetables and my husband had Rossini with fries only the fries didn't turn up. The food was once again nice but no great cooking skills involved. For dessert I had a fancy strawberry dish that turned out to be warm strawberries with ice cream and a tuille And my husband had profiteroles. Once again, nice but no cooking hardly and would have expected something a little more original. Pleasant staff who suffered as the place got busy with large numbers arriving all the time.. Would I recommend it? For a Monday night , yes as the choice is limited, but for that price I would shop around."
