"I had the opportunity to discover the bistro of the clock in Nîmes. I stayed very satisfied with this experience, which met all my expectations. The property is located in the heart of the city centre, close to the Place de l'Horloge. It has a large shaded terrace, perfect to enjoy the summer heat. The bistro menu offers a selection of traditional French dishes, based on fresh and seasonal products. In particular, I tasted a blouse at Nutellachantilly, and a handmade lemonade. All dishes were delicious, well cooked and served generously. I also enjoyed the service, which was very attentive and professional. The staff is in small care for customers and it is always available to answer questions. Finally, I found the idea of spreading a mist of water to refresh the very original and pleasant customers. This allows you to refresh yourself in the summer, while maintaining a warm atmosphere. Pros: Pleasant and friendly Traditional French cuisine of quality Fresh and good to taste Careful and professional service Refresh water Brume Cons: None In conclusion, I strongly recommend the bistro of the clock in Nîmes to all those looking for a pleasant establishment, offering quality cuisine based on fresh products."

A nice place. I only put 3 stars because the kitchen is simple: croques Mr salad fries, fried steak ,... but frankly very correct quality price. The very nice waiter. 3 special mentions: the mistizer on the terrace, the desserts waffles ice pancakes with a choice of ouf, and the toilet accessible on qr code very clean. Visualizza piatti

Been coming here for a few years now, and it has its ups and downs while service is always (slow) but happy and attentive. But the menu and the prices? What gives? Poor choices and average cooking with terrible children's menu. Mains are super charged rising easily to crazy. Food was honestly boring, under seasoned, with a drought of sources. There are so many things that fall short that when the bill comes you feel hurt. Too much cash. Too little imagination. Far too little attention. Why has this lovely spot become a cynical trap. I'm sure things will boom again. Hope it's not too long.

We ate here twice in large groups. We had high hopes as local friends had recommended it. But although some dishes were acceptable, too many were poorly conceived or executed. My merlan (fish) was seriously overcooked, and the cold leeks with poached egg was simply odd. On my first visit I had braised vegetables also with poached egg and that didn't work either. My wife had a maigret (sic) a duck breast which was completely tasteless. The service was friendly but too slow and we were all seriously underwhelmed. They serve lampreys which is unusual, and I can't complain about them. But they are an acquired taste which I failed to acquire. Wines were not too pricey with many local ones.

"Enoteca has only been going 6 months or so which may explain the lack of reviews on TripAdvisor but don't let that put you off dining here. We'd been staying close by for the week and hadn't realised at first that this restaurant is also linked to a great little deli about 10 doors down on the same rue. So you have two great places to discover! We stopped in there for a glass of wine first in the last of the days sun before heading to the restaurant for dinner. The owner is a lovely, attentive guy who is clearly very passionate about his Italian produce; food and wine! Over dinner we were well looked after and shared delicious burrata as starter, followed by two authentic Italian pasta dishes for main course. The beef in mine was rich and tender, obviously having been cooked for hours. Dessert were small coffees with a delicious citrus mouse on the side and plenty of biscotti biscuits to dip. Drinks wise we'd enjoyed a glass of white at the deli but moved onto passionfruit spritz for aperitifs followed by a delicious Nero d'Avola to match our mains. This red was fantastically smooth and fruity, with no hint of tannins in the after taste. I was surprised that the place wasn't packed out on a Friday night but there is a festival in town for a couple of days so that could be keeping people busy, but this place will surely gain in popularity and in the rankings in Nimes very soon. Recommend this Italian restaurant which suits this French city drenched in Roman history!"
