"twice we were in the patagonia in mainz, at the opening on the 15th March and as we liked it so well, again on the occasion of our high season on the 31st March. the first visit we made with our three little children and it was as it should be, that is, unproblematic. we came in and felt comfortable. the ambiente is so heartless. there are food for children, a high chair, place in restaurant, so that the children can walk around, the hosted outdoor area is closed with a forte – you are child-loving. the restaurant was well visited, yet eating quickly and hot on the table. the meat was very tasteful outside chess inside tender and juicy (rib eye and rumpsteak,) the finely prepared supplements underline the taste, with a red wine merlot or cabernet sauvignon the experience. during the second visit we had an salat and empanadas after the classic freshly prepared aperitif pisco sour as an appetizer, and on request a compilation of all: empanadas de queso, empanadas de pino and empanadas de camarón – queso all of it. the salat ensalada perales con queso (mixed salat with gorgonzolabällchen in mangochutney, weinbirnen, pistazien and balsámico walnut oil) is an unusual but a very successful harmonious taste experience. then the steaks: lomo puerto varas (rib eye 220g) and lomo torres del paine (rumpsteak 350g) again outside chess and inside tender and juicy – also the 350g piece. the meat comes from chile and is chilenic, medium is standard, prepared. with the spicy supplements and matching wein this time the excellent pinot noir expresión reserve 2009 a pleasure. due to the experience of the first visit we have deliberately not ordered the filet (because you know it is perfect, has to be perfect) because we wanted to know how to deal with normal meat. conclusion: you can and indeed very well! the desserts papaya chilena (chilenic papaya filled with mascarpone cream and skyberry sauce) or helado de miel de ulmo (ice from ulmenhon with poppy and skyberry sauce) then represent a successful conclusion with an excellent coffee. a few small things are to be improved to get to perfection; as always at restarts of restaurants that are not part of a chain that individually start from ground. but the passion, the heart for the thing is clear to see and feel: you are really special on the best way."

"Based on past experience we decided to return to Trattoria Peperoncino for dinner and we were not disappointed. Although a cool September evening we sat outside for our dinner. Our server was a most engaging young lady who helped us navigate the menu and was...a complete joy to be around. For starters I had a cream of broccoli soup which was extremely decadent in flavour and taste. My partner had the mouth watering scallops as a starter and we shared the bruschetta which had very fresh tomatoes with a rich balsamic reduction. For my main I had the special ravioli that had a rich sauce with chestnuts infused with truffle oil. My partner had a home made spaghetti which was enjoyed immensely. You will not be disappointed as service was first rate and a kitchen that is overseen by a highly talented owner. Not to be disappointed I would highly recommend reservations as this is a quality restaurant!"

"Wer die Indische Küche liebt, sollte hier auf jeden Fall herkommen. Das Essen ist super lecker. Neben Fleischgerichten gibt es auch viel vegetarische und vegane Gerichte. Es kommt also jeder auf seine Kosten. Der Service war auch toll. Alle MitarbeiterInnen waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir kommen gerne wieder."

"We were more often in Pizzeria Dato in Mainz Hechtsheim. Often, when we come to Mainz, we will arrive there. The pizza was always very good and it was always quite fast. Today we came to Pizzeria at 13:30 a.m., which was opened until 14:00 a.m. We thought the kitchen was open until 14:00. I wondered if a table was free for two people (and there were many tables free. I could order a pizza. Are you eating in the car? I have to say that this has never happened to me. That was certainly our last visit to Dato today. Too bad, but you don't have to let everything go. That doesn't sound like that. Unfortunately, you have to give a star..."
