Good savory pies and other savory snacks, excellent sweets and good coffee. I come here often for a brake when I'm working. Sometimes one has to wait too long to be serviced

This is the place where the cafe is superb and the croissants perfect. All the confectionary products home made and very special since many years. My place to meet people coming to Chur with trains.

Discovered this place on our last day. The coffee was excellent and we had a dark chocolate gateaux which was superb. There was a large selection of super cakes. So next time we are there we shall indulge ourselves again. Visualizza piatti

This is a 15 second walk to the train station. I was there for their dessert. It has a chocolate store on the right hand side of the store, from white chocolate to 80% dark chocolate. I shopped for all my chocolate at the store.

Stopped here to get lunch before boarding the Glacier Express. The cheese roll with beetroot relish was delicious and the bread was particularly good. The stars though were the cherry and apricot tarts with my particular favourite being the apricot one. All other savoury and...sweet snacks looked good too.

Traditional bakery and confectionery occupying a corner of the small square just opposite the train station in Chur. A local institution, run by the third generations of the same family sharing passion for baking and chocolate making. This is opposite Chur Station, this is an average bakery and confectionary. Chur is a small city with lesser options so you will often find this place crowded. The staff doesn't understand English well and they can't explain ingredients of food on display due to...which you might end up eating an allergic food, which you didn't want to eat.

I would recommend Cafe Maron to anyone who is in the area near Chur railway station. The staff are friendly no matter what time of day you visit - early morning they have many choices of sandwiches etc should you want to make up a picnic for train trael. The cakes and patisserie are divine and after a long day trip on the Bernina Express a glass of cold beer is very welcome too. They do start closing up around 7pm in summer so this is something to bear in mind when travelling inbound to Chur.

It might be very busy and the first place you see when walking out of the railway station but whatever time you arrive don't be put off, you will definitely be pleased you stopped by. The Maron not only serves fabulous ice creams, cakes and sandwiches, but you can also drink a beer if you wish. Great place to meet up with friends due to the location, very well patronised by locals and tourists alike and the presence of plenty of staff virtually ensures no waiting especially if you have to hop on a train.
