"there is a narrow curvey road leading up to the restaurant, and it takes a while until you reach the lonely retauarnt. situated on a small mountain it gives you a spectacular view over lake zurich and the mountains behind fabulous the restaurant itself is gemuetlich , offering good home cooking dishes, nothing fancy but all real and a choice of fresh salads, vegetarian is on the menu as well. maybe one should chose a beer to go with , the wines are just alright. service is fine but the main reason to come is the view. terrace seating is available"

"essen ist fantastisch, aber etwas liegt mir auf dem herzen..!! schon mehrmals am telefon erwähnt das wir mit karte bezahlen wollen wenn sie uns das essen nachhause bringen, dann sagte man uns ja ist kein problem.! und dann kam unser essen und er sagte er zu uns der betrag machte so viel, und wir sagten ja gut wir wollen mit karte bezahlen weil wir kein bargeld zuhause haben er sagte zu uns ist nicht möglich er möchte bargeld der chef hat ihm nichts gesagt..!! das kam schon mehrmals vor das finde ich nicht so toll der kunde wird nicht geschätzt wenn man so was sagt"

"It is really good that they offer so many clearly labelled vegan options. However, it’s a bummer that the online menu does not show if it’s vegan or not, just the menu in the restaurant. Be cautious that you may get a non-vegan chutney that wasn’t mentioned in the menu for the starters. We ordered two vegan starters and got a non-vegan sauce (containing yoghurt) that we luckily suspected before trying it. The menu doesn’t mention that you get sauces to the starters and it would be great if you were asked as guest if you want that or at least informed that one contains yoghurt. That wasn’t a great experience. The online menu mentions chutneys but if I recall correctly the one in the restaurant did not. And at least both starters were labelled vegan. The portions are quite big for the price and you get a fancy tea candle powered tish grill to keep the food warm while eating. The nearby road makes the outdoor seating unpleasant. I’m gonna inform the restaurant about the labelling on the online menu and about the non vegan sauce so it may be better in the future. Updated from previous review on 2023-05-01"

"Choice of 5 kitchen prepared brunch plates together with a buffet of pastries, yogurts and cake. All of the food was beautifully prepared, fresh and tasty. The highlight for the adults was the pepperoni sausage and quiche. The kids each enjoyed huge plates of pancakes, maple syrup and clotted cream. Several extras were happily provided by the owners for the kids. Overall great food, service and price in a very relaxed environment."
