"While Irish beer is available the draft dark Staropramen is more unusual (unlike its lighter brother) and to be recommended. Food portions are large, well presented if a little over salted and excellent value for money fairly traditional German, simple selection. Medium steak was 'well done '. Service good. Bizarrely there 's wifi, but not for guests. Welcome to Mecklenburg-Vorpommern ! Recommended by our b&b host otherwise we wouln 't have found the place. Go if you prefer 'pub ' atmosphere to typical German cafe/restaurant."

"Auf unserer Reise vom Bayernland nach dem Norden hat es uns ueberraschenderweise nach Guestrow verschlagen-zu unserem Glueck!Wir entdeckten das Restaurant Wallenstein mit direktem Blick auf das Schloss-wunderschoen! "My sister and I can highly recommend this place! We were near Güstrow and visited the Ratskeller for dinner several times, which is operated as Pizzeria, but by German. A reservation was usually necessary as there were few restaurants that had opened due to Corona. We were greeted and served 'always' very friendly. We were allowed to take our two dogs. The selected dishes were very delicious. We were never disappointed at the drinks. Overall, we can consistently evaluate this location positively. Even though it was stressful, the service was always top! As a guest we always felt very comfortable. Also a small chat with the staff was pleasant and friendly. Thanks to the entire team for the beautiful time with you!!!"

"Upon arrival in an empty restaurant we had been informed that no table is available due to reservations which would start an hour later. This reminded me of the good old east Germany where business was not required to get an income. Resistance payed off...and we stayed for an early dinner. The Italian style food was of average quality and was lacking some taste. Stick with the German meals which are much better. The cheesecake in a Glas is a unique creation and tasted more like blueberry quark yogurt with whole Italian coffee cookies inside. The credit card machine was defect, so be prepared for cash only payment. Overall for a number restaurant in town it was a disappointment."
